  • Patent number: 11922656
Abstract: A method comprises inputting a treatment planning image of a target subject into a machine learning system. The method further comprises determining, by the machine learning system, a first target-subject-specific model of the treatment planning image. The method further comprises applying, by a processing device, the first target-subject-specific model to the treatment planning image to generate a transformed treatment planning image corresponding to a first position of a plurality of positions of the target subject. The method further comprises comparing the transformed treatment planning image to a reference image. The method further comprises, based on the comparing, modifying one or more parameters of the first target-subject-specific model to generate a second target-subject-specific model corresponding to a second position of the plurality of positions.

  • Publication number: 20230332359
Abstract: A jacking tie and method of using a jacking tie to level and/or lift a railroad track. The jacking tie is configured with an elongate body that is configured to span beneath two parallel rails of a railroad track. Preferably the jacking tie is of the configuration to replace a standard railroad tie. The jacking tie has two jacks, preferably hydraulic cylinder jacks that are positioned so as to lift each of the parallel rails of the railroads. The jacking tie body has two sections. A track support shell is supported by the hydraulic cylinder jacks. The track support shell is configured for nesting or mating engagement with the lower body shell in a compressed or resting position. The hydraulic jack cylinders are configured to lift the track support shell away from the lower body shell, thus lifting the rail positioned above the hydraulic jack cylinder. The track support shell and lower body shell are pivotally connected such that the ends of the track support shell can be independently raised.

  • Publication number: 20210317615
Abstract: A system and method for use in raising the height of railroad structures. Railroad structures are defined as the structures where two or mor railway tracks merge, cross, or divide. The method utilizes excavating an opening beneath a railway track at or adjacent to a railroad structure. A hydraulic jack is positioned within the opening. This is repeated until sufficient hydraulic jacks have been positioned around the structure. The hydraulic jacks are then actuated to raise the railroad structure to a desired height. Generally this height provides a slight crown to the structure. Ballast is then positioned beneath the raised railway. The hydraulic jacks can be disconnected from the hydraulic lines and left in position, or removed. Preferably the hydraulic jacks are positioned on hydraulic jack sleds for improved ease in transporting the hydraulic jacks and to provide a platform on which the hydraulic jack is slid into and out of the opening beneath the railway.

  • Patent number: 6678607
Abstract: A system, method and apparatus are disclosed for creating a signal that indicates the pressure of the fluid in an engine. A switch or sensor determines whether the actual pressure is greater or less than a threshold pressure. If the actual pressure is less than the threshold pressure, a sensed pressure (e.g., the output of a pressure sensor) is used. If the sensed pressure is greater than the threshold pressure, then the output is derived from an estimate of the fluid pressure, where the estimate is based on other operating parameters of the engine. The output signal can be used as an input to a display visible by an operator, controller logs, diagnostic systems, and the like.

  • Patent number: 6663535
Abstract: A system is disclosed for implementing a technique for managing torque of a drivetrain. The drivetrain includes an air intake passage having a throttle valve, an internal combustion engine having an output shaft, a transmission having an output shaft, and a rotational propulsion member operatively coupled to the transmission by a propeller a drive axle. The system includes a throttle valve sensor, an engine speed sensor, a transmission speed sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, a transmission controller, and an engine controller. The throttle position sensor provides a throttle position signal that is indicative of a rotational position of the throttle valve. The engine speed sensor provides an engine speed signal that is indicative of a rotational speed of the engine output shaft. The transmission speed sensor provides a transmission speed signal that is indicative of a rotational speed of the transmission output shaft.

  • Patent number: 6445996
Abstract: A system for executing a method for estimating atmospheric air pressure ambient to an internal combustion engine as a means to preclude the need for an atmospheric air pressure sensor. The system includes an absolute boost pressure sensor, an engine speed sensor, and an electronic control unit. The absolute boost pressure sensor provides a first signal that is indicative of the absolute boost pressure of the air received within the intake manifold of the engine. The engine speed sensor provides a second signal that is indicative of the engine speed of the engine. The electronic control unit generates a third signal that is indicative of the atmospheric air pressure ambient to the engine, a fourth signal that is indicative of a gage boost pressure of the engine, and a fifth signal that is indicative of a fuel command for the engine. When the engine is idling, the atmospheric air pressure signal is generated as a function of the absolute boost pressure signal.
