  • Publication number: 20230099186
Abstract: Techniques for a distributed data processing application service in a cloud provider network are described. A virtual machine bundle is obtained, the virtual machine bundle including a copy of a memory and one or more registers of a paused virtual machine executing a distributed data processing application runtime. A request to launch a virtual machine to execute a distributed data processing application runtime is received, the request to launch the virtual machine including a bundle identifier that identifies the virtual machine bundle. The virtual machine is launched based at least in part on the virtual machine bundle. The virtual machine sends a message to register the virtual machine with a cluster of virtual machines.

  • Patent number: 10137966
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide recirculation-based alternating blowdown sea chest. The sea chest has a cover assembly with a plurality of grates thereon. Each grate is connected with a pipe in fluid communication with a pump. The pump provides suction while a plurality of valves modulate the flow of water through the system. A recirculation pipe promotes the blowdown of fluids within the system and permits tandem function of water intake and expulsion resulting in maximum efficiency of the sea chest with continuous functionality while in use.

  • Patent number: 9974448
Abstract: A device and method for use in monitoring blood pressure. The device comprises a controller configured to monitor a first blood pressure measurement based on a first blood pressure signal. The controller is configured to initiate acquiring a second blood pressure measurement based on a second blood pressure signal if the first blood pressure measurement exceeds a predetermined threshold. The decision to initiate acquiring the second blood pressure measurement is based on only one blood pressure measurement.

  • Publication number: 20170059285
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide an electronic target system and a hit detection method. In certain embodiments, the electronic target system includes a target having a plurality of distinct sectors, each having a measurable capacitance, and a controller configured to determine the capacitance and the change in capacitance of each sector. The controller generally monitors the capacitance and the change in capacitance of each sector. When a sector's capacitance changes at least a designated amount—such as when a projectile pierces the sector and reduces the sector's area—the controller determines that the sector has been hit. In other embodiments, the electronic target system includes a target including one or more vibration sensors configured to detect vibrations in the target. Upon detecting these vibrations, the vibration sensors send responsive signals to a controller. The controller analyzes these signals to determine whether a sector has been hit.
