  • Patent number: 11992435
Abstract: Needle injectors and injector carriers for endothelial keratoplasty are provided. Needle injectors include first, second, and third portions each having a respective conduit therein. A first end of the second conduit is fluidly coupled to a second end of the first conduit, where the second conduit has a maximum diameter greater than a maximum diameter of the first conduit. A first end of the third conduit is configured to be fluidly coupled to a second end of the second conduit, where a second end of the third conduit is configured with a cutting surface for cutting and penetrating eye tissue. Injector carriers include a container, a cap configured to seal an opening of the container, and a coupling means configured to couple the needle injector to the cap and allow the needle injector to be disposed within the container.

  • Publication number: 20230414343
Abstract: Delivery devices, carriers, and methods for endothelial keratoplasty surgical procedures are provided. The delivery devices include a flat chamber sized to accommodate thin ophthalmic tissue used in Descemet's Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (“DMEK”) procedures while the ophthalmic tissue is in a trifolded configuration with the endothelial cells facing inward. One end of the delivery devices is configured for insertion into a patient's eye to inject ophthalmic tissue. Carriers include a container and a cap configured to seal an opening of the container. The carrier is sized to accommodate a delivery device disposed within the container for storage and transport of ophthalmic tissue.

  • Publication number: 20230014433
Abstract: Ophthalmic tissue delivery devices that include an injector and injector carriers and methods for endothelial keratoplasty surgical procedures are provided. Injectors include a conduit sized to accommodate ophthalmic tissue. One end of the injector is configured for insertion into a patient's eye to inject ophthalmic tissue. Injector carriers include a container, a cap configured to seal an opening of the container. The injector can be coupled to a pressure actuated valve and a syringe where activating the syringe opens the value and allows fluid to flow from the syringe, through the valve, and through the injector to dispense ophthalmic tissue from the injector into a patient's eye without the need to physically contact the ophthalmic tissue.

  • Publication number: 20220226522
Abstract: A portable, handheld ultraviolet light delivery apparatus for sanitization target surfaces is configured to deliver ultraviolet light at the lower end of the UVC band (i.e., having shorter wavelengths) with the majority of the ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 222 nm. The ultraviolet light delivery apparatus includes a light source positioner secured to the front side of the case where the light source positioner is configured to maintain a constant distance between the ultraviolet light source and a target surface to be sanitized. The ultraviolet light delivery apparatus further includes a timer relay that removes power from the ultraviolet light after a specified exposure duration has elapsed so as to control the dose of ultraviolet light delivered to the target surface.
