  • Patent number: 9120090
Abstract: A modified zeolite catalyst derived from a zeolite of a structural type which consists of a one-dimensional micropore structure of channels made from rings containing between 8 and 12 silicon/aluminum atoms is disclosed. It consists substantially of a plurality of crystallites having additional mesoporosity whose volume is in the range 0.09 to 0.25 cc/g as mentioned by nitrogen adsorption at 77° K and calculated by the BJH method. The mesoporosity may be introduced into the crystallites by e.g. treatment with aqueous sodium hydroxide at a pH at 25° C. in excess of 8 for an extended period at elevated temperature. The catalyst shows improved resistance to catalyst deactivation and greater selectivity to higher hydrocarbons when used to e.g. oligomerize light alkenes e.g. propene or the butenes.

  • Patent number: 9124458
Abstract: Teachings presented herein offer reduced computational complexity for detecting a plurality of symbol blocks, even for symbol blocks that comprise the combination of a relatively large number of symbols. The teachings perform two or more stages of detection assistance to successively reduce the number of candidate combinations of symbols to be considered for a symbol block when detecting the plurality of symbol blocks. In particular, the teachings identify a reduced set of candidate symbol combinations for at least one symbol block in the plurality of symbol blocks, and then jointly detect each of one or more distinct groups of symbols in the symbol block to determine from that reduced set a final reduced set of candidate symbol combinations. Detection of the plurality of symbol blocks limits the candidate combinations of symbols considered for a symbol block to the final reduced set of candidate symbol combinations identified for that symbol block.

  • Patent number: 9122460
Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for application development using middleware. A developer can launch a development request from a client or local network to a remote development server, thereby invoking a set of frameworks and other tools to carry out a desired application build. The development request can specify the type or configuration of the desired application, such as, for example, email, spreadsheet, media playback, or other applications, along with parameters such as target operating systems. The user can assemble desired code from libraries stored in the virtualized middleware framework, and debug the application build against a set of data sources aggregated by the development server. A developer can therefore leverage rapid application development tools at the middleware, without a necessity to invest in local development tools or separately build or locate test data sources.

  • Patent number: 9121413
Abstract: A compressor rotor includes a rotor body mounting a disk supporting an array of blades on a radially outer surface of the disk in a primary flow path. A radially inner portion of the disk is formed with an annular array of radially extending vanes adapted to move cooling air flowing in a secondary flow path from a radially-inward direction to an axial direction at a substantially center portion of said disk. Some of said radially-extending vanes have relatively longer radial lengths and some of the radially extending vanes having relatively shorter radial lengths to thereby provide a sufficient flow area while also lessening the formation of vortices along the vanes.

  • Patent number: 9122929
Abstract: The invention relates a method of identifying a tracked object that has a known database of hyperspectral and spatial information. The method associates an identifier with the tracked object; selects a parameter associated with the hyperspectral or spatial information of the tracked object; detects a deviation in the selected parameter; compares the deviation with the database; and if the deviation exceeds a predetermined threshold, assigns a new identifier to the tracked object, and if the deviation does not exceed the predetermined threshold, continues tracking the tracked object.
