  • Publication number: 20150117289
Abstract: A method and network node of a radio network, for enabling a User Equipment (UE) to save power in radio communication with the network node. The network node sets a waiting threshold for the UE and communicates data with the UE over a radio link. The network node also obtains traffic characteristics pertaining to the radio communication, and predicts a waiting time until next data is to be communicated with the UE based on the traffic characteristics. The network node further triggers the UE to enter a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) sleep when the predicted waiting time is longer than the waiting threshold. Thereby, power can be saved in the UE by immediately going to sleep after the last data.

  • Publication number: 20130205534
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) in connection with a floor cleaning machine functioning with liquid. According to the invention a combined hub (5) for supporting a brush/disc (6) of a floor cleaning machine has three functions, viz. A: as a hub for a brush/disc for holding the same, B: as a distributor for the distribution of liquid to said machine, radially from the outside towards the centre of the hub, and C: as a distributor for the distribution of vacuum to said machine in order to suck up washing liquid from the machine.

  • Patent number: 6457187
Abstract: A pressurized flushing system for discharging liquid into a toilet bowl. The mechanism comprises a sealed container for storing a pre-determined volume of the liquid under pressure having an inlet for connection to a liquid supply source under pressure and an inlet valve to permit liquid flow through the inlet until the pre-determined volume in the sealed container is reached. There is an outlet for discharging liquid under pressure and an outlet valve movable between an open position to permit liquid discharge through the outlet and a closed position to seal the outlet. The outlet valve is urged by internal pressure within the sealed container toward an open position of the outlet when the pre-determined volume of liquid is in the sealed container, however, an actuator normally locks the outlet valve in the closed position against the internal pressure of the container. Operation of the actuator by a user unlocks the outlet valve to permit movement of the outlet valve to the open position.

  • Patent number: 5101088
Abstract: A torch for plasma cutting and welding which includes an outwardly insulated metal casing (10, 11, 12) provided with a non-melting electrode centered therein and having an insert (36) of active material directly opposite a nozzle orifice (17) in one end of the casing. The electrode (31) is centered in the casing by an insulating ring (21) at the electrode tip adjacent said orifice (17), and by an adapter sleeve (34) arranged in the opposite end and having a spring member (40). The adapter sleeve (34) has a tapered opening for receiving the likewise tapered end (33) of the electrode (31) and is axially slotted (35) to expand radially when receiving the electrode (31), so as to engage with the interior of the casing for safe current supply form the casing to the electrode (31). Gas is supplied from an inlet (27) along the electrode (31) and is forced to pass inclined ducts (41) in the electrode (31) in the area of the insulating ring (21), so as to be conducted in a spiral motion adjacent the orifice (17).

  • Patent number: 4243892
Abstract: The inventive pumping system includes at least two parallel-working pumps or compressors, at least one of which is operable as either a pump or a turbine in one or both directions, its drive motor being also capable of operating as a generator so as to feed electrical power back into the electrical network to which it is connected when necessary. At high fluid flows all the pumps or turbines act as pumps to cause the fluid medium to flow in one direction, whereas as low fluid flows the normal-acting pump or compressor operates at a relatively high energy-efficient speed while the excess flowing fluid medium is caused to flow in a return fashion through the outer pumps or turbines such that they act as turbines and thus generate electrical energy for feeding back to the electrical network to which it is connected.

  • Patent number: 4108066
Abstract: A device for printing in the Braille system. The device includes a magnetic core with an outer layer on the core provided with holes arranged in a pattern for composing a text to be printed. Pins of magnetizable material are adapted to be inserted in the holes. The pins are of a greater length than the thickness of the layer. They are adapted upon contact with the magnetizable core to be attracted thereto to be retained in the holes. The core forms a roller and includes two end portions between which is a depression. An electrical winding is provided in this depression to magnetize the core. The outer layer is of a non-magnetizable material. The core includes a layer of magnetizable material inside of the outer layer to cover the holes therein.
