  • Publication number: 20210129237
Abstract: A retainer, that holds a group of precision, off-the-shelf components in relative alignment so as to allow a standard key duplicating machine to function as a key code origination machine is disclosed. A person of ordinary skill in pinning a lock and operating a key duplicating machine is able to practice the invention. An aspect of the invention is that an ordinary, inexpensive key duplicating machine can be converted to code-cutting functionality with minimal cost, requiring no adaptation of key duplicating machine. Also disclosed are methods of positional registration, machine error compensation, and notch shaping.

  • Patent number: 10977006
Abstract: Embodiments provide a machine learning framework that enables developers to author and deploy machine learning pipelines into their applications regardless of the programming language in which the applications are structured. The framework may provide a programming language-specific API that enables the application to call a plurality of operators provided by the framework. The framework provides any number of APIs, each for a different programming language. The pipeline generated via the application is represented as an execution graph comprising node(s), where each node represents a particular operator. When a pipeline is submitted for execution, calls to the operators are detected, and nodes corresponding to the operators are generated for the execution graph.

  • Patent number: 10853366
Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems and methods for rewriting expressions utilizing cooperative visitors are provided. A data request may be received by a computing device, which may then be represented in a data structure, e.g., an expression tree, representative of the data request. A node within the data structure representative of the data request may be visited. Metadata associated with at least one cooperative visitor may be extracted from the node, and the node may then be transformed by applying the at least one cooperative visitor to the node.

  • Publication number: 20200348990
Abstract: Sparse data handling and/or buffer sharing are implemented. Data may be buffered in reusable buffer arrays. Data may comprise fixed or variable length vectors, which may be represented as sparse or dense vectors in a values array and indices array. Data may be materialized from a dataview comprising a non-materialized view of data in a machine-learning pipeline by cursoring over rows of the dataview and calling delegate functions to compute data for rows in an active column. A buffer and/or its set of arrays storing a first vector may be reused for a second and additional vectors, for example, when the length of buffer arrays is equal to or greater than the length of the second and additional vectors, which may be selectively stored as sparse or dense vectors to fit the array set. Shared buffers may be passed as references between delegate functions for reuse.

  • Publication number: 20200349469
Abstract: An efficient, streaming-based, lazily-evaluated machine learning (ML) framework is provided. An ML pipeline of operators produce and consume a chain of dataviews representing a computation over data. Non-materialized (e.g., virtual) views of data in dataviews permit efficient, lazy evaluation of data on demand regardless of size (e.g., in excess of main memory). Data may be materialized by DataView cursors (e.g., movable windows over rows of an input dataset or DataView). Computation and data movement may be limited to rows for active columns without processing or materializing unnecessary data. A chain of dataviews may comprise a chain of delegates that reference a chain of functions. Assembled pipelines of schematized compositions of operators may be validated and optimized with efficient execution plans. A compiled chain of functions may be optimized and executed in a single call. Dataview based ML pipelines may be developed, trained, evaluated and integrated into applications.

  • Patent number: 10810675
Abstract: Performance parameters of a vehicle can be measured by an on-board performance parameter measuring device. The performance parameters can be measured while the vehicle is being used. The measured performance parameters of the vehicle can be transmitted to a computing device. The computing device can be configured to generate a user cost that reflects a cost for insuring the vehicle based on the measured performance parameters of the vehicle. A graphical user interface can be generated by the computing device for presentation to a user via a display device, that graphical user interface can include the user cost. An alternative transportation route for the journey and an alternative transportation cost for the journey can be determined and presented to the user through the graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 10646282
Abstract: A variable geometry contact lens structure having a thickness t sufficient to carry an active payload is constructed using layers of materials with high oxygen transmissibility and low oxygen transmissibility. The low transmissibility layer provide mechanical support for the active payload, and the high transmissibility layers provide adequate oxygen transmission to the cornea of the user's eye. The ratio of the thicknesses of the two layers changes abruptly at the boundaries between the payload and non-payload regions of the structure. For example, at a boundary of the payload region, a ratio of thicknesses of the high transmissibility layer t1 to thickness of the low transmissibility layer t2, R=t1/t2, changes by at least 2:1 over a lateral distance of not more than t.
