    Abstract: An apparatus for preventing unauthorized use of motor vehicle includes a shield attachable to an engine control module. The shield is attached to an underside of the engine control module and includes a top plate which extends immediately above a plurality of electrical connectors and prevents unauthorized withdrawal of the electrical connectors. The apparatus further includes a retaining bracket which cooperates with the shield to define a plurality of channels for receiving wire harnesses associated with the electrical connectors.
