    Abstract: An electronically commutated electric motor according to the invention is notably used in an air blast device and in a motor vehicle heating, ventilating and/or air-conditioning installation. The motor comprises a rotor (16) and a stator (14). The stator is mounted on a metal support means (10) that is arranged so as to protrude from a bearing plate (12) and is electrically connected to an electrical earth. And a screen (34) is disposed between the rotor and the stator, said screen also being electrically connected to the electrical earth.
