  • Patent number: 10308065
Abstract: A spoke for a wheel can include a first end, a second end, and an attachment section therebetween, the first end and the second end extend at an acute angle with respect to each other, the attachment section including a non-circular portion in cross-section.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 24, 2015
Date of Patent: June 4, 2019
    Assignee: Superpedestrian, Inc.
Inventors: Assaf Biderman, Eric Barber, Robert Paul Roy, Jeffrey Jay Weinstein
  • Patent number: 10005317
Abstract: A method of thermal management for an electrically motorized wheel, the method can include defining a thermally conductive path from at least one component, the at least one component becoming heated during operation of the electrically motorized wheel, providing the path with a thermally conductive material and further defining the path such that the path contacts the at least one component, further defining the path such that the path contacts a hub shell assembly of the electrically motorized wheel thereby conducting heat from the at least one component to the hub shell assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070045066
Abstract: A wheel hub for a corner assembly on a vehicle wherein a wheel and a rotor for a brake system are attached to the wheel hub. The wheel hub has a cylindrical body with a peripheral surface thereon having a flange to which the rotor and the rim of a wheel are attached and a bearing surface that receives a bearing fixed to a stationary member to establish a perpendicular alignment between first and second engagement faces on the rotor and friction members carried by a caliper. A attachment clip attached to the flange resiliently urges the rotor toward the flange to sustain the perpendicular alignment even though the rotor may axially translate during a brake application.
