  • Patent number: 10258538
Abstract: Emergency CPR systems for patient support systems utilizing backup battery power. For example, an emergency CPR switch attached to a hospital bed provided with a patient support platform having a portion that is pivoted between a flat position and an inclined position by a motor powered by a battery during emergency usage. The emergency CPR switch includes: a first relay disposed between the battery and the motor; a controller configured to provide a motor control signal to control the motor; and a switch electrically connected to the first relay. When the switch is operated the first relay is activated to drive the motor with the battery in a direction placing the pivotable portion in the flat position and control of the motor by the motor control signal is disabled or overridden.

  • Publication number: 20150066920
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for creating and sharing short, customized media clips on social networks. The system can perform media content analysis (i.e., facial recognition, audio recognition, etc.) on a media. The system can generate metadata associated with the media content based on the media content analysis. A user can submit a search query for characteristics of the media content. The system can perform a search on the generated metadata based on the received search query. The system can return identified portions of the media content that satisfy the search on the generated metadata. A short, customized clip created from the identified portions of the media content can be shared to a social media network.

  • Publication number: 20080209630
Abstract: A system and method for repositioning a patient. The system comprises a first layer that is liquid impermeable and vapor permeable. The system also comprises a second layer that has a tensile strength that is greater than the first layer. The tensile strength of the second layer is sufficient to allow the system to lift a person being repositioned. The system also comprises a plurality of handles distributed around the sheet.
