The method includes: receiving a request including a domain name, originating from the device, intended to be transmitted to a domain name resolution server; routing the request to a domain name resolution server; receiving a response including an IP address and information, called first information, linked to the IP address; transmitting or not transmitting the request over the network as a function of the first information.

Abstract: A method for detecting a security flaw allowing a sensitive datum to be recovered. The method is implemented by a device of a network-gateway type holding the sensitive datum. The sensitive datum allows a network terminal to connect to the device. The method includes: analyzing messages sent by at least a first terminal of the network administrated by the device, which terminal is referred to as a terminal known by the device, to another terminal; the device detecting the security flaw if it detects presence of the sensitive datum in the message.

Abstract: A method for managing a phase for requesting pairing of a data processing device. The method includes the following steps in an entity external to the data processing device: detecting a pairing request phase from the data processing device; obtaining an elapsed duration linked to the pairing request phase; and requesting termination of the pairing phase beyond a given duration.

Abstract: A method of managing a local area communication network comprising at least one access equipment for accessing the network is disclosed. At least one communicating object is connected to the network. In one aspect, the method comprises upon detecting connection of a new communicating object to the network and/or upon detecting installation of new firmware on the at least one communicating object connected to the network, a learning phase involving observing interactions of the communicating object with at least one other equipment of the local area network and/or at least one equipment of a wide area communication network accessible via the access equipment. In addition, at least one security rule associated with the communicating object on the basis of the observed interactions is disclosed.

Abstract: A method for processing requests sent by a user terminal, carried out by an interface device allowing the user terminal to access a communication network. The method includes: when a received request is detected as intended for being transmitted to a server not authorized by the interface device, receiving a second request intended for being sent to a resolution server associated with the interface device among resolution servers associated with the interface device, and transmitting, to the resolution server associated with the interface device, the second request received or a third request generated by the interface device from the second request received.

Data to be requested are then determined according to the modification factor and according to a value representative of reception throughput. The data are then requested from the network and the requested data are received.
