  • Patent number: 12239949
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a continuous flow process for preparing conducting polymers, for example polyaniline. The continuous flow process can provide a controlled synthesis of a conducting polymer from an emulsion comprising a polymerizable organic monomer and a free radical initiator in flow within a temperature controlled continuous flow reactor comprising at least one mixing element. The present disclosure also relates to the conducting polymers prepared by the continuous flow process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 10, 2023
Date of Patent: March 4, 2025
Assignees: The Boeing Company, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation
Inventors: Thomas Kohl, John Tsanaktsidis, Christian Hornung, Patrick Kinlen, Eric Bruton, Matthew Flack, Andrew Zweig

  • Publication number: 20210310668
Abstract: A supplemental heating system includes an enclosure that encloses a primary heating device. The enclosure includes an inlet damper, an outlet damper, and an intermediate damper. In an idle state, the inlet damper and outlet damper are open while the intermediate damper is closed. In an active state, the inlet damper and outlet damper are closed while the intermediate damper is open, so that air is circulated within the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 10888104
Abstract: A fatty acid composition is provided which can be used to make fatty acid fortified nutritional products. In one embodiment, the fatty acid composition comprises a fatty acid component, inorganic salts (which can include a phosphate salt), vitamins, and optionally a protein source and optionally a carbohydrate source. The composition can further include additional nutrients and combinations thereof. In another embodiment, the fatty acid composition is only the fatty acid (i.e., consists of a sodium or potassium fatty acid) which is spray dried. In both embodiments, the fatty acid composition is not microencapsulated in a waxy or carbohydrate substrate, yet the powdered composition is flowable and is easily dispersible in a liquid to form a stable dispersion in the liquid by stirring or shaking the powder in the liquid for only a short period of time.
