  • Publication number: 20230381627
Abstract: Techniques for providing acoustic feedback are disclosed. Several audio clips have a synchronized beat. A sensor signal received from a sensor has a sensor signal range divided by first and second thresholds into at least three sensor signal sub-ranges. An audio signal is output in response to the received sensor signal, the output audio signal comprising one or more of the audio clips. If the received sensor signal exceeds the first threshold, at least one of the one or more audio clips is discontinued and/or at least one additional audio clip of the audio clips is initiated in synchronization with the one or more audio clips. If the received sensor signal falls below the second threshold, at least one of the one or more audio clips is discontinued and/or at least one additional audio clip of the audio clips is initiated in synchronization with the one or more audio clips.

Abstract: Techniques for providing acoustic feedback are disclosed. Several audio clips (21-23) have a synchronized beat. A sensor signal (16) received from a sensor has a sensor signal range divided by first and second thresholds (11, 12) into at least three sensor signal sub-ranges (13-15). An audio signal is output in response to the received sensor signal (16), the output audio signal comprising one or more of the audio clips. If the received sensor signal (16) exceeds the first threshold (11), at least one (21) of the one or more audio clips is discontinued and/or at least one additional audio clip (22) of the audio clips is initiated in synchronization with the one or more audio clips (21). If the received sensor signal (16) falls below the second threshold (12), at least one (21) of the one or more audio clips is discontinued and/or at least one additional audio clip (23) of the audio clips is initiated in synchronization with the one or more audio clips (21).

  • Patent number: 9376604
Abstract: An apparatus for applying a liquid coating to a deicer composition, methods of applying a liquid coating to a deicer composition, and solid deicer compositions that have been coated using the apparatus or method of the invention are disclosed. The apparatus includes a screw conveyor that has a housing, at least one screw with a plurality of flights, an inlet for uncoated deicer, an inlet for a liquid coating composition, and an outlet for deicer coated with the liquid coating composition. The screws contain protrusions or tabs that extend from the surrounding surface of the screw. These protrusions or tabs aid in the mixing of the solid deicer and the liquid coating composition in order to provide a well-mixed deicer that resists caking while avoiding losing the coating composition to leaching.

  • Publication number: 20060251226
Abstract: A system and method for processing telephone calls and providing enhanced services is presented. The call processing system includes a network control processor for controlling the processing and routing of the calls and for providing enhanced features, and a matrix switch for routing calls from an originating location to a terminating location. Operator consoles can be included to provide operator assistance to the caller. The network control processor comprises a central message processor that receives call data, determines the type of call, determines the processing required, and determines whether operator assistance is required. A call route distributor allocates an operator console to the call if required. A billing server is used to track billing information for the call while it is in progress. A database server is provided for database look-ups and storage.

  • Patent number: 6473709
Abstract: A computer having a backplane and a motherboard disposed on the backplane along with expansion slots for receiving expansion cards. The backplane further having circuitry coupled thereto for performing an alarm function where the alarm circuitry is not coupled to a card occupying one of the expansion slots, instead the alarm circuitry is coupled to the backplane in a manner so that it is not directly under the supervision of the system processor on the motherboard. The alarm circuitry including processors which use the LON bus protocols for receiving and transmitting information relating to environmental conditions in the PC.

  • Patent number: 4702592
Abstract: A reticle assembly, exposure system, and method for exposing each of a plurality of levels of a single die or device dies of a semiconductor wafer to a pattern of radiation on a site-by-site exposure basis are disclosed. Radiation patterning means between a source of radiation and the semiconductor wafer pattern the radiation onto the semiconductor wafer and a stepping means incrementally moves the semiconductor wafer relative to the patterning means for exposing the device dies, one at a time, in succession. The patterning means includes a reticle assembly having a plurality of reticles arranged in a coplanar array with each reticle having a respective different die exposure pattern.
