  • Publication number: 20240181306
Abstract: A golf club head includes a front body and a rear body coupled to the front body to define a hollow cavity therebetween. The front body includes a strike face that defines a ball striking surface, a hosel, and a frame that at least partially surrounds the strikeface and extends rearward from a perimeter of the strikeface away from the ball striking surface. The strike face and frame are formed from a thermoplastic composite comprising a thermoplastic polymer having a plurality of discontinuous fibers embedded therein. Each of the plurality of discontinuous fibers have a length between about 0.01 mm and 3 mm. In some embodiments, the thermoplastic composite is 30% to 70% fibers by volume.

  • Patent number: 11969632
Abstract: Described herein is a golf club head comprising a sheet composite midbody, a filled thermoplastic composite weight seating portion, and a removable weight. The weight seating portion can comprise a weight channel within which the weight can be repositioned to alter the fade or draw bias of the club head. The golf club head can further comprise a front body with a perimeter surrounding frame. The midbody can be connected to the front body. The weight seating portion can be co-molded to the midbody.

  • Publication number: 20240091605
Abstract: A golf club head includes a resilient member extending from a sole of the club head to the crown. The resilient member has a convex, arcuate shape relative to a strike face of the club. The resilient member has a rest state prior to impact with a golf ball, in which the resilient member defines a first chord length, and a deflected state during impact with a golf ball, in which the resilient member defines a second chord length that is greater than the first chord length. The resilient member improves impact response of the strike face to allow strike face thickness to be reduced while maintaining durability of the golf club head.

  • Publication number: 20240082666
Abstract: A golf club head includes a rear body having a crown member coupled to a sole member, and a front body coupled to the rear body to define a substantially hollow structure. The front body includes a strike face and a surrounding frame that extends rearward from a perimeter of the strike face. At least a portion of an outer wall of the club head comprises a thermoplastic composite having a plurality of lamina layers. The plurality of lamina layers include at least a fabric reinforced thermoplastic composite layer and a filled thermoplastic layer, and the fabric reinforced thermoplastic composite layer and the filled thermoplastic layer are directly bonded to each other without an intermediate adhesive.

  • Patent number: 6910610
Abstract: A conveying a chain of air-filled packing pillows to a selected position includes a generally upstanding duct, a support for supporting the device on a surface, and a pump positioned adjacent to the surface for supplying air to the device. The duct has an air inlet end connected in fluid communication with the pump, an outlet end, and an entrance aperture positioned downstream from the pump and the air inlet end for receiving the chain of air-filled packing pillows. When the pump is activated and the chain of air-filled packing pillows is inserted through the entrance aperture, the chain of air-filled packing pillows is conveyed upwardly through the duct in a longitudinal direction relative to the chain, and directed to arrive at the selected position.
