  • Patent number: 11959698
Abstract: An apparatus, system, device, and the like, for a liquid nitrogen dispensing head that may be used in a system for cooling aggregate, such as may be found in a batch plant involved in producing concrete. The dispensing head is positioned over a conveyor belt that conveys aggregate to a mixing apparatus to produce concrete. The head dispenses liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate to cool the aggregate and may include interior chambers separated by one or more baffles. The chambers may reduce the pressure of the liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate in relation to the flow pressure of the liquid nitrogen entering the dispensing head. In another example, an assembly may include sidewalls that extend to the aggregate on either side of the head to form a cooling tunnel through which the aggregate is conveyed and is exposed to the liquid nitrogen being dispensed from the head.

  • Patent number: 5579204
Abstract: A hard disk assembly including a disk drive assembly, and a carrier board is disclosed. The disk drive assembly includes a connector having a form factor corresponding to a particular interface specification, drive control electronics, and a disk drive unit. Additionally, the hard disk assembly may include an adapter to provide a mechanical and electrical interface between the connector associated with the disk drive assembly and a corresponding connector on a midplane of a disk storage subsystem. The disk drive assembly may be disposed in one of at least first and second predetermined locations on the carrier board. The adapter is employed to provide the appropriate mechanical and electrical interface between the connector of the disk drive assembly and the midplane connector of the disk storage subsystem.

  • Patent number: 5325493
Abstract: A device for distributing a serial stream of commands and associated data to a parallel array of processing units so that the data processed by the parallel processing units can be recombined in the original order in which the serial stream was received. The command distributor of the invention hands out commands to the parallel processing units using a true "first come, first serve" algorithm using fast bus arbitration hardware. Each parallel processing unit requests data to be input when all of its data has been processed, and bus arbitration is used to prevent conflict when a plurality of requests are received. The ID of the processor to which a command is assigned is used in recombining the processed data into a serial data stream having the same order as the original.

  • Patent number: 5312021
Abstract: The present invention provides a dispenser for both rolled paper products and liquid fluid having scent therein. The dispenser allows an individual that is injured, handicapped, or otherwise unable to grasp and unroll the rolled product, to have the product unrolled automatically by depressing a single button. In addition, a fluid dispenser is incorporated within the rolled paper product dispenser so that the individual using the present invention may be provided with a convenient apparatus for freshening the air adjacent the dispenser when desired.
