  • Patent number: 12179970
Abstract: A container for storage of molten material from an industrial facility, and method of manufacture thereof, is provided to maximize internal volume of the container while providing structural stability. The container includes walls having rounded convex-shaped edges at each wall junction. A first head is connected to the walls at a first end of the container, and a second head closes the second end of the container. The second head is connected to the walls at a second end of the container. Corners are defined at the intersection of the walls with the first head and second head at the first end and the second end respectively. A first flange is connected to the first head to receive molten material, and the first head is shaped as a tapered shoulder to smoothly transition from the first flange to the junction of the walls.

  • Patent number: 7188377
Abstract: A pump having a vessel with a hollow interior. An adaptor may be associated with the vessel and include an opening that facilitates selective flow of fluid relative to the interior. A piston may be slidably mounted within the vessel's interior and movable relative to the adaptor. The pump may also include a piston actuator having a first actuator end and a second actuator end in which the first actuator end is operably associated with the piston. The second actuator end may extend outside the interior such that the piston actuator is configured for facilitating selectable movement of the piston within the vessel. A valve assembly selectively attachable to the adaptor to facilitate selective flow of fluid relative to the adaptor.

  • Patent number: 6692310
Abstract: A modular system is provided for arranging a plurality of electrical connector assemblies in a stacked array. The system includes at least a pair of electrical connector assemblies stackable one on top of another. Each assembly includes a frame structure having input and output faces, with an interior cavity between the faces. Input and output connectors are respectively mounted at the input and output end faces and project outwardly therefrom. A circuit board is located in the interior cavity and is electrically connected between the input and output connectors. A pair of end flanges project outwardly from at least one of the input and output end faces above and below the respective input or output connector to protect the respective connector. The end flanges have fastening portions to facilitate holding the frame structures and, thereby, the electrical connector assemblies in the stacked array.

  • Patent number: 6236328
Abstract: Devices for monitoring bearing performance in apparatus having an aperture sized and configured to receive a grease fitting. The devices comprise a temperature sensor or a vibration sensor, or both, to enable detection of impending bearing failure, and further comprise rigidly attached electronic components which amplify signals generated by the temperature sensor and/or vibration sensor. The devices may be adapted to either replace or supplement conventional grease fittings, and enable the transmission of electronic signals which may be used for constant monitoring of critical equipment. Bearing housings which incorporate these features, as well as subassemblies and related methods, are also described.

  • Patent number: 5671814
Abstract: This invention is a tool for either inserting the stem of a flag or marker in soil or rocky terrain or providing a hole therein of sufficient size to receive the stem of a flag. The tool is made up of three main components, these being an inner rod, an outer pipe and a pair of collars attached near the ends of the inner rod. The outer pipe is positioned between the two collars. The inner rod is notched on one end to facilitate inserting the tool. To insert the flag, the user places a bend in the flag stem and then places the stem inside the notch. By pounding down on the lower collar (which is attached to the inner rod) with the outer pipe the notched end and flag stem are driven into the ground. When the flag has been inserted to a desired depth, the tool is extracted leaving the flag inserted in the ground. Alternatively, to insert the flag the tool is used to create a hole of sufficient size wherein the flag is then inserted.
