    Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing an arcuate brake shoe from a first strip of material which is to provide a web of the shoe and has a plurality of projections extending from one edge and a second strip which has a plurality of corresponding openings to receive the projections and which is to provide the platform of the shoe. The two strips are secured together with projections and openings engaged and formed into an arcuate shape by passage through a roller arrangement.
