    Abstract: An LCD includes a 2-D array of pixels including at least one transmissive light modulator including a first light modulation signal input, and at least one reflective light modulator including a second light modulation signal input, a processor configured to provide a plurality of images to a display driver; and a display driver configured to provide the plurality of images to the 2-D array of pixels, wherein the display driver provides a first image frame to the transmissive light modulator, wherein the display driver provides a second image frame to the reflective light modulator; wherein the display driver provides a first image frame to the transmissive light modulator, wherein the display driver provides a second image frame to the reflective light modulator, and wherein the first image frame is displayed by the transmissive light modulator at the same time the second image frame is displayed by the reflective light modulator.
