Patent number: 12224046Abstract: A charting system is provided for use in a healthcare facility having a network. The charting system includes a microphone to receive voice inputs from a caregiver. A vital sign monitor obtains a vital sign from a patient and displays it. The system includes a communication device having a voice-to-text module that includes a processor coupled to the microphone. The processor operates a voice-to-text algorithm that converts the vital sign into text in response to the caregiver dictating the vital sign into the microphone. The processor initiates transmission of the vital sign to an EMR computer via the network after conversion of the at least one vital sign to text.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2022Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: Hill-Rom Services, Inc.Inventors: Stephen Embree, Douglas A. Seim, Frederick Collin Davidson, Britten J. Pipher, Kenzi Mudge, Bradley T. Smith, Steven D. Baker, Eric Agdeppa, Pamela Wells, Laura A. Hassey, Andrew S. Robinson, Thomas A. Myers

Patent number: 12216631Abstract: A system that enables the efficient identification and/or retrieval of certain timeline content from amongst e.g. a great many options of similar content. Generally, a set of timeline metadata that describes some aspect or aspects of the content of the timeline is produced. This set of timeline metadata includes timing and descriptive information that maps the described aspect or aspects to specific locations within the source timeline. When a user initiates a search of the timeline content, the search criteria is quickly matched against the contents of this separate set of metadata, rather than the raw timeline data itself. When the search criteria is matched, the metadata, original data, or both may be returned.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2019Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Sonic Bloom, LLCInventor: Eric D. Patent number: 11130066Abstract: System and method that handles the inconsistent processing of interactive media (e.g. digital games, music visualization software, video playback software, animation software, etc.) and the generally consistent timeline delay to enable synchronization of messages and events with the playback of potentially variable-rate timelines.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2016Date of Patent: September 28, 2021Assignee: Sonic Bloom, LLCInventor: Eric D. Patent number: 10483648Abstract: Cavity backed slot antenna arrays for conformal antenna applications are provided. A cavity backed slot antenna array may include an aperture, first and second feed structures, and a backing cavity configured to support the aperture and the first and second feed structures. The aperture may have a dielectric layer and a metal layer disposed on the dielectric layer. The metal layer may have first and second annular regions. The first annular region may have a first slot region and the second annular region may have a second slot region, where the second slot region may partially overlap the first slot region. The metal layer may further include first and second radiating elements configured to radiate energy. Each of the first and second feed structures may include a central portion and a plurality of fin structures arranged radially around the central portion.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2018Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: The MITRE CorporationInventors: Eric D. Robinson, Ian T. McMichael

Patent number: 10430151Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for synchronization of audio data, such as music, with events that occur in interactive media, such as computer games. In particular, a user can define choreography data that an interactive computer application can use to synchronize to audio, such as music, one or more aspects of the application, such as the GUI, animations, rendering, sound effects, etc.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2016Date of Patent: October 1, 2019Assignee: Sonic Bloom, LLCInventor: Eric D. Patent number: 9303594Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a combustion chamber defined by a cylinder, a piston defining a piston top, a cylinder head with an intake port and an exhaust port, and a corresponding intake valve and an exhaust valve. The internal combustion engine further includes an intake manifold for supplying air to the combustion chamber and an exhaust manifold for drawing exhaust gas from the combustion chamber. The flow dynamics of the internal combustion engine are improved by including textured surfaces on one or more of the piston top, the cylinder head, the intake valve, the intake port, the exhaust valve, the intake manifold, the exhaust manifold, or the fuel supplier. The textured surface may include indentations, protrusions, or combinations.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2014Date of Patent: April 5, 2016Assignee: SPEED OF AIR, INC.Inventors: Joey Malfa, Jess McFarlen, Mitchell E. Wagner, Eric D. Robinson
