  • Publication number: 20250087303
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for diversifying an initial nucleic acid sequence encoding a protein with repeating amino acid sequences. The initial nucleic acid sequence comprises a plurality of contiguous stretches of nucleotides that are identical. The method may involve identifying in the nucleic acid sequence, a first contiguous stretch of nucleotides (nts) that is identical in sequence to a second contiguous stretch of nts and is longer than 14 nts; and replacing, in the 2nd contiguous stretch of nts, a codon encoding an amino acid with another codon encoding the same amino acid. The identifying and replacing is performed over the length of the nucleic acid sequence until there are no two contiguous stretches of nts that are identical in sequence and are longer than 14 nts.

  • Publication number: 20240218025
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and poly peptides for opening closed chromatin. The present disclosure provides methods and polypeptides for increasing expression of fetal hemoglobin G (HBG) in a cell by, for example, reducing binding of an endogenous transcription repressor to a regulatory sequence and/or potentiating binding of a transcriptional activator to a sequence in the fetal ?-globin gene promoter. The present disclosure also provides methods and DNA binding polypeptides (DBPs) for modulating expression of a gene in a cell which gene includes a regulatory region bound by a transcription factor (TF), wherein the DBP competes with the TF for binding to a regulatory sequence comprising CACC box or GATA site.

  • Patent number: 6545946
Abstract: For use with a high gain receiver circuit which receives echo pulses of frequencies within a predetermined bandwidth and at times within interpulse periods of a predetermined pulse repetition rate and amplifies the echo pulses for measurement purposes, the receiver circuit susceptible to electrical noise within the frequency bandwidth of the received echo pulses to create false echo pulses, a method of eliminating substantially the false echo pulses without affecting substantially the amplified echo pulses by accepting only echo pulses which occur synchronously among interpulse periods. The pulse repetition rate may be varied to eliminate false echo pulses that are synchronous to the interpulse periods.
