  • Publication number: 20230130417
Abstract: A device for applying a fluid or pasty product onto keratin fibres includes a longitudinal axis (XX), a rod extending about the longitudinal axis, a brush with a core of elongated shape, having two ends, and a series of spikes distributed over said core. The brush is mounted on a mounting end of the rod that is free to rotate about a pivot axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis between an aligned position, in which the core extends along the longitudinal axis, and an inclined position, with the pivot axis being located at a middle section of the core located between the two ends of the core. The application device has means for indexing a position of the brush arranged in the vicinity of and around the pivot axis.

  • Publication number: 20230008001
Abstract: A cosmetic kit includes a composition that includes a wax emulsion and a polymer. The kit further includes an applicator with a plurality of bristles. At least one of the bristles is made of a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in a range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. Also disclosed is a method of applying a cosmetic compound. The method includes the step of depositing the cosmetic compound on an applicator, wherein the composition includes a wax emulsion and a polymer. The applicator includes a plurality of bristles, and at least one of the bristles is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in a range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. The method further includes the step of brushing the applicator against a keratin fiber to transfer the cosmetic compound from the applicator to the keratin fiber.

  • Publication number: 20230000234
Abstract: A mascara packaging set includes a container with a wiper having an aperture and a mascara composition stored within the container. The mascara composition includes a wax emulsion, at least one polymer, and fibers and has a viscosity in a range of 10,000 cps to 20,000 cps. The kit also includes an applicator configured to extend into the container through the aperture. The applicator has an elongate core and bristles extending radially therefrom. At least one of the bristles is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in the range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. The bristles form rows along the core in an axial direction, wherein rows of a first pair of adjacent rows are spaced farther apart from each other in a circumferential direction than a second pair of adjacent rows. The first pair of adjacent rows define a reservoir.

  • Patent number: 11478061
Abstract: The present invention relates to an applicator device for applying a product of the fluid or pasty type to keratin fibres, comprising a central core (1) having an elongate shape which extends along a longitudinal axis XX, at least one row of elongate spikes (2) comprising a first end (20) embedded in the core and a second, free end (21). According to the invention, at least one of the spikes (2) is delimited by a first flat face (200) that is coincident with a longitudinal plane, known as the reference plane P, and by a second flat face (210) that forms an angle of between 10 and 180° with said first flat face, said at least one spike comprising a first region (22) that is embedded in the core (1) and has a substantially constant cross section in the form of a portion of a circle, and a second region (23) having a variable cross section that is situated substantially in the longitudinal continuation of said first region (22).
