  • Patent number: 6647765
Abstract: The present invention 10 discloses a cleaning device having a base portion 14 with a peel and stick adhesive 20 underside and a clear permeable topside 22 having a color reactive substance 24 contained therein wherein the base portion 14 further includes a malleable flap 12 disposed thereon. The present invention is to be placed in areas to be cleaned such as floors, walls, counters and the like for the purpose of monitoring the efficiency of the people that will be doing the cleaning. The peel and stick adhesive base 20 will maintain the cleaning detector 10 in place and the user will put the malleable flap 12 into a substantially perpendicular position relative to the base portion 14. The malleable flap 12 will be deformed away from the substantially perpendicular position if the area proximal to the present invention 10 has been properly swept, mopped, dusted, etc.

  • Patent number: 6565363
Abstract: Disclosed is a modular jack system that utilizes magnetic attraction to draw a plug 16 into a jack 18 and then maintain it therein. The modular jack system utilizes plug 16 and jack 18 having at least one pair of cooperating magnets 30, 32 polarized so that the magnets on the plug 16 are drawn to the magnets on the jack 18 thereby pulling the plug 16 into the proper connected position and maintaining it therein. Installation of the plug 16 into the jack 18 is simplified because the magnets will guide the plug 16 into the jack 18 once in the proximity thereof The system could also be adapted for use with other similar applications such as coaxial cable 44 connections to replace the threaded and slip-on types of connections known in the prior art.

  • Patent number: 6274787
Abstract: A special bandaging device is provided which includes a canopy, of various shapes and sizes, which has a bottom edge for affixing to the patient's healthy skin surrounding the wound. Once affixed the canopy spans the entire wound without contacting the wound. Adhesive on the bottom edge is exposed after the removal of an adhesive backing, which prior to removal, encloses and hermetically seals the interior chamber of the canopy. The canopy can be formed in blister pack fashion from materials with varying degrees of malleability, with transparency being an available feature, such that the wound healing process can be monitored. An embodiment is provided which includes a fixed base portion that remains attached to the patient's skin, while the canopy is detachable for temporary access to the wound before the canopy is reattached. A locking ring on the canopy mates with a locking groove on the base for this purpose. Other embodiments include an elongated canopy for wounds having significant length.
