  • Patent number: 6280985
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the separation and purification of lactic acid from a fermentation medium wherein the lactic acid is totally or partially in the form of a salt or salts. The lactic acid producing microorganisms are separated from the other components of the fermentation medium. This solution is concentrated and then acidified to a pH below or equal to 3. The acidified solution is passed over a cation exchange resin to give a fraction that has maximum of 25% lactic acid salts relative to the dry weight of the solution. This fraction is subjected to bipolar fractionating electrodialysis. The resulting lactic acid is further purified, concentrated and then recovered.

  • Patent number: 6193913
Abstract: Process for marking a thermoplastic article produced by extrusion of a parison and blow moulding of the said parison, in which the extruded parison is marked before blow moulding by at least one jet of an ink based on a compound which crystallizes in acicular form during drying. No figure.

  • Patent number: 5413325
Abstract: A device for unpiling sheets one at a time from a pile of sheets placed perpendicular to a supporting surface, includes a pressure arm engaging a first face of the pile. A single friction drive roller has an axis perpendicular to the supporting surface, arranged at a predetermined distance from the supporting surface. The second face of the pile is engaged with the roller along a first edge. A low-friction abutment is arranged in the vicinity of the roller, separated from the supporting surface by the roller and has a surface parallel to the roller axis and offset relative to the roller. A pad is disposed substantially perpendicular to the supporting surface and is movable towards the abutment along a second edge located downstream of the first edge.

  • Patent number: 4829367
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a color video signal encoding system for generating a NTSC color image composite signal for a television receiver. A luminance signal Y and two chrominance signals I and Q are modulated on a color subcarrier having a frequency F.sub.sc. The television receiver has an intrafield vertical sampling frequency F.sub.1. The encoding system comprises a first non separate two dimensional filter for low pass filtering the chrominance signal I, and a second non separable two dimensional filter for low pass filtering the chrominance signal Q. A third non separable two dimensional filter is used for band-stop filtering the luminance signal. The third filter has a stop band centered on .+-.F.sub.sc and .+-.F.sub.1 /2. The stop band has a shape similar to the shape of the band pass of the first filter so that said chrominance signals I and Q filtered by said first and second filter means can be inserted in the band covered by said stop band.
