Systems and methods of the various embodiments may provide a battery housing including a rolling diaphragm seal disposed between an interior volume of the battery and an electrode assembly within the battery. Various embodiments may provide an air electrode assembly including an air electrode supported on a buoyant platform such that the air electrode is above a surface of a volume of electrolyte when the buoyant platform is floating in the electrolyte.

    Abstract: An electrochemical cell and battery system including cells, each cell including a catholyte, an anolyte, and a separator disposed between the catholyte and anolyte and that is permeable to the at least one ionic species (for example, a metal cation or the hydroxide ion). The catholyte solution includes a ferricyanide, permanganate, manganate, sulfur, and/or polysulfide compound, and the anolyte includes a sulfide and/or polysulfide compound. These electrochemical couples may be embodied in various physical architectures, including static (non-flowing) architectures or in flow battery (flowing) architectures.

    Abstract: Embodiments of apparatuses, methods, and systems for injecting transactions to support the virtualization of a physical device controller are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a processor, system memory, a physical device controller, and a virtualization agent. The physical device controller is to be shared by a plurality of virtual machines created by a virtual machine monitor installed on a processor. The virtualization agent is coupled to the system memory through a first interface and coupled to the physical device controller through a second interface, to represent the physical device controller as a plurality of virtual device controllers available to be allocated to the plurality of virtual machines, and to inject transactions onto the first interface and the second interface on behalf of the plurality of virtual device controllers.
