The system can capture an event from the traffic. The event can involve at least one VNF, and can negatively affect at least one operational aspect of the virtualized network in providing the service. The system can create snapshot that represents a network state of the virtualized network during the event. The system can create, based upon the snapshot, a shadow network. The shadow network can include a network emulation of the network state of the virtualized network during the event. The system can determine, from the shadow network, at least one modification to at least a portion of the virtualized network that would at least mitigate negative effects of the event.

    Abstract: A piston for an internal combustion engine may include a piston skirt extending in a piston longitudinal direction and defined in the piston longitudinal direction by a piston head. The piston skirt may include a boxed interior space defined by two box walls and two substantially opposing skirt walls. A boss having a through-opening may be arranged on each of the two box walls, the two through-openings being oriented so that they align with one another. The two box walls may each include a boss portion oriented perpendicularly to the boss, and at least one intermediate portion extending between the respective boss portion and one of the skirt walls. The intermediate portion may merge via a bend into the associated boss portion. A radial extent of the boss portion may be greater than a diameter of the through-opening and at least 50% of a diameter of the piston.

The patient manager monitors personal, environmental, and external data to identify baseline and personal best thresholds to determine appropriate activity recommendations for a patient that is trying to manage a disease such as asthma. A personal monitor measures a peak flow rate by having the patient blow through the personal monitor. An environmental monitor measures ambient conditions in a room and communicates the conditions with the patient manager. The patient manager also pulls in third-party regional weather information, and generates activity recommendations based on the personal, environmental, and regional information.
