  • Publication number: 20240418380
Abstract: A rooftop air conditioning unit (RTU) is disclosed. The RTU comprises an absorber configured in a supply airstream, a desorber configured in a regeneration airstream, wherein the desorber is fluidically connected to the absorber via a liquid desiccant system and an interchange heat exchanger. The RTU further comprises a first heat exchanger configured upstream of the absorber in the supply air stream, a second heat exchanger configured upstream of the desorber in the regeneration airstream, wherein the first heat exchanger is fluidically connected to the second heat exchanger via a vapor compression system, and one or more secondary heat exchanger configured between the vapor compression system and the liquid desiccant system, wherein the one or more secondary heat exchangers are operable to control temperature of a desiccant associated with the liquid desiccant system into the absorber and/or into the desorber.

  • Publication number: 20100179490
Abstract: An ear canal flushing device includes a main body with a cavity for storing a liquid and a temperature sensor for indicating when the liquid is within a selected temperature range that will not adversely affect the patient when the liquid contacts the tympanic membrane. A nozzle is removably attachable to the main body where the nozzle includes a distal portion adapted for insertion into the ear canal and an internal nozzle lumen in fluid communication with the opening in the main body. The nozzle also includes at least one discharge port in fluid communication with the internal nozzle lumen wherein when pressure is applied to the main body a volume of the cavity decreases and liquid is forced out of the at least one discharge port such that the ear canal can be rinsed.

  • Patent number: 5269764
Abstract: A hemostatic sealing assembly comprises a valve housing and a two-stage hemostatic gasket. The gasket is disposed in an enlarged recess within a shell component of the housing and held in place by a terminal plug. The front and rear faces of the gasket are conically tapered as are the mating surfaces and the housing shell and terminal plug, respectively. In this way, the gasket can be radially compressed to provide a desired degree of both sliding seal and static seal.
