  • Publication number: 20150173061
Abstract: A transmission of information is established between an emitting mobile terminal and at least one receiving mobile terminal of the same group of terminals pertaining to a shared-resource radiocommunication network operating in a direct mode includes the step of emitting by the emitting terminal of a transmission request to inform the other receiving terminals of the group of its intention to transmit information. Each receiving terminal of the group then determines whether, on the basis of at least one pre-defined selection strategy, it will accept the transmission of information. If it will, the receiving terminal transmits a return signal comprising data relating to said emitting terminal to the other terminals of the group. Then, the emitting terminal checks whether it respects the transmission conditions. If it does, the emitting terminal transmits the information to the other terminals in its group via at least one resource allocated to the group.

  • Publication number: 20150111590
Abstract: A telecommunications network, especially an LTE type network, is adapted to a change in configuration. The telecommunications network includes at least a first transmission device, of base station or transmission relay type, and a second transmission device, of base station or transmission relay type. There is no radio link in existence between the first transmission device and the second transmission device before the change in configuration. The process for change includes: detecting a change in the configuration of the telecommunications network; allocating radio resources in the communications frames of the first communications element for determination of the transmission quality with the second communications element; and establishing a radio link between the first transmission device and the second transmission device if the determined transmission quality is advantageous. The process is implemented by a telecommunications networking infrastructure and by a transmission device.

  • Patent number: 8908650
Abstract: An interface, apparatus, and method are described for communication between a radio control (REC) node and first and second radio equipment (RE) nodes in a radio base station that transceives information over radio interface using multiple antenna carriers. The REC node is separate from and coupled to the first RE node by a first transmission link, and the second RE node coupled to the first RE by a second transmission link. Both control information and user information intended for communication between the REC node and the first RE node and the REC and the second RE node are conveyed over the first transmission link. The first RE node also conveys information between the REC and second RE node. Many advantageous features are described.

  • Publication number: 20140348042
Abstract: The object of the present invention is a method for selecting a terminal of an HD-FDD duplexing model. The invention enables the complexity of a switch of a terminal operating in an HD-FDD duplexing mode, at a level equivalent to that of a terminal operating in a TDD or FDD duplexing mode, to be reduced. To do this, thanks to the invention, it is provided that the terminal operating in an HD-FDD duplexing mode receives notifications or information via a network that programs the HD-FDD terminals through different uplink and downlink transmission models illustrated in FIG. 1. It may also be provided that the terminal operating in an HD-FDD duplexing mode has knowledge of the HD-FDD model to use for its communication. In this event, the complexity of its communication is reduced to the same level as that of a terminal operating in TDD mode.

  • Publication number: 20140185574
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for enabling radioelectric coexistence between two devices based on personal mobile radio or PMR technology, of which one is a narrow band device and the other is a broadband device, and each device interacts via a radioelectric link with respective base stations connected to a control unit for the radio resource of their respective networks, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: detection of the presence of a narrow band radioelectric emitter device in the vicinity of device, transmission of a message on the broadband network, addressed to the control unit, which message signals the presence of a possible narrow band emitter close to said device, and assignment by the control unit of new frequency blocks for uplinks, only in predefined allocated periods.

  • Publication number: 20130343318
Abstract: In order to acquire first subbands in at least a central band of a broad frequency band, in which subbands frames are transmitted by a base station (BSBB) of a broadband network (RBB) which is co-located with a network (RNB) having narrow subbands comprised in the broadband, a mobile (MBBB) which does not know the distribution of the subbands correlates subsequences of a generated reference signal with subsequences which are respectively detected in the subbands and compares correlation coefficients against a threshold. By knowing the distribution of the first subbands, the mobile is able to process the signalling transmitted by the base station, in order to access allocated resources, after a synchronisation phase.

  • Patent number: 7653016
Abstract: A radio terminal is organized to send a first access signal then, when it receives a positive acknowledgement from a base station, a second access signal, resources of the communication network being allocated to the radio terminal after receipt of the said second access signal at the base station. At a base station, the first access signal sent by a radio terminal is received and the communication service requested by the terminal is detected therein. In conditional manner, depending on the detected communication service, a receive power of the first access signal is measured, the measured receive power is compared with a threshold, and the transmission of a positive acknowledgement of the first access signal to the radio terminal is inhibited, when the measured receive power is greater than the said threshold.

  • Publication number: 20080214225
Abstract: The invention relates to a cellular radio system wherein a communication terminal receives servo power instruction from a base station with which a radio communication comprising first uplink and downlink channels is established. In response to an instruction for changing a channel (13), the terminal records a first power level received from the base station and a reference power on which the terminal transmitted when the instruction was received. The terminal endeavours to continue communication on new uplink and downlink channels interrupting the transmission on the first uplink channel. If failed, the terminal evaluates a second power level received from the base station and restarts to transmit through the first uplink channel at a power determined according to the reference power and a variation between the first and second power level.

  • Patent number: 7228147
Abstract: In certain circumstances, a mobile radiocommunication terminal estimates an initial radio signal transmission power, i.e. a random access request, to a base station located within the range thereof. If it is very close to said station, said initial estimated power can be lower, even greatly lower, than the minimum transmission power of the mobile terminal. In order to limit interference with other communications in progress, the transmission of said signals is inhibited if the difference between the minimum transmission power and the initial estimated power lies beyond a predefined threshold.

  • Patent number: 7162246
Abstract: In order to cover a mobile telecommunication zone, an access network node comprises a first multisector antenna to transmit and receive in several first main directions on one and the same first fixed frequency each covering a first sector having on either side of the first main direction, a common border with another first sector. A second multisector antenna situated at the same place as the first multisector antenna makes it possible to transmit and receive in several second main directions on a second fixed frequency each covering a second sector having on either side of the second main direction, a common border with another second sector, each second main direction being on the axis of a border between two first sectors. A hard handover from the first to the second frequency is triggered for a mobile which is approaching a border common to two first sectors.
