  • Patent number: 10989456
Abstract: An HVAC system includes an evaporator. A compressor is fluidly coupled to the evaporator via a suction line. A condenser is fluidly coupled to the compressor via a discharge line. The condenser includes a first pass and a second pass. A common manifold fluidly couples the first pass and the second pass. A charge compensator is fluidly coupled to the common manifold above a maximum liquid level of the common manifold.

  • Patent number: 10746447
Abstract: An apparatus includes a microchannel heat exchanger, a load, a compressor, and a controller. The microchannel heat exchanger removes heat from a refrigerant. The load uses the refrigerant to remove heat from a space proximate the load. The compressor compresses the refrigerant from the load. The controller determines a discharge temperature of the refrigerant at the compressor and predicts a saturation temperature of the refrigerant between the compressor and the microchannel heat exchanger. The controller also determines a discharge superheat by subtracting the saturation temperature from the discharge temperature and triggers an alarm if the discharge superheat is below a threshold temperature.

  • Patent number: 10697675
Abstract: A reversing valve comprising a valve body having an internal cavity therein and an input port, output port and first and second reversing ports. A baffle is located within the internal cavity and is configured to rotate around a pivot point within the internal cavity. At least one electromagnet is coupled to the valve body. The electromagnet is configured to cause the baffle to rotate in one of the clockwise direction or counter-clock wise direction when a voltage is applied to the electromagnet.

  • Patent number: 10626608
Abstract: A foam wall structure includes a frame, at least one primary support member, a slab of polyiso board and a foam layer. The frame can include: a first member; a second member spaced apart from the first member; and two side members extending between the first and second members. The frame defining a front frame surface and an opposite rear frame surface. The at least one primary support member can be positioned between the two side members and extend between the first and second member. The primary support member defines a front support surface and an opposite rear support surface. The slab of polyiso board may be attached to the front frame surface. • Publication number: 20130256605
Abstract: Composite materials having a multi-wall carbon nanotube content of from 4 to 15% by weight, based on total weight of the composite, are produced from a dispersion of multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and a fiber reinforcing material in a carrier fluid which is processed to form a shaped article that may then be infused with a liquid polymer or polymer-forming mixture to form the composite.
