  • Patent number: 4483051
Abstract: A munition or round for a firearm comprises a shell casing of synthetic resin material formed internally with a plurality of axially spaced annular ribs which snap into corresponding grooves in the shank of the bullet. The bullet shank is also formed with axially extending grooves to vent the space between the base of the bullet and the bottom of the casing, this space receiving a moist firing charge whose solvent vaporizes through the gaps formed by the axially extending groove.

  • Patent number: 4199057
Abstract: A container for holding a plurality of explosive cartridges has a base over which fits a cover. The base has an upper face and is formed with a plurality of recesses each having a shape generally complementary to that of one of the cartridges but formed along its full height with an extension. Each of these recesses and its extension opens only at the respective face so that a cartridge fitted in any one of the recesses can be aired via the respective extension at the upper face of the base. The cover has a lower face juxtaposable with the upper face and formed with a ridge that normally spaces these faces apart. This cover has a skirt engaging down around the base and formed with at least one groove extending through the ridge to the upper face so that the space between these faces is open to the outside through this groove.

  • Patent number: 4173089
Abstract: Ammunition for a toy revolver comprises a disk structure provided with a plurality of angularly equispaced capsules containing explosive charges (rounds) and adapted to register with anvils of a barrel for firing. The number of capsules is twice that of the number of seats within which each of the anvils is provided. The side of the disk opposite the percussion side is formed with at least two projections each of which is adapted to engage in one of the seats between a wall thereof and the anvil. Thus the projections lie to one side of the anvil during the firing of alternate capsules and the disk can be angularly spaced relative to the barrel to dispose the projections on the opposite sides of the respective anvils and cause the remaining capsules to be aligned with the anvils and to be fired.

  • Patent number: 4054637
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a plastic cartridge case having a hollow peripheral flange which protrudes radially from the base of the cartridge case, utilizes the principle of heating a plastic tubular element closed at the base and exerting axial pressure against a housing which acts as a mold and limits the deformation of the element.
