    Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming plastic articles is provided. A rotating cutter, having a cutting blade mounted thereto, is disposed adjacent to a continuous extrudate. Upon rotation of the cutter, non-linear cutting edges formed on the cutting blade simultaneously cause a predetermined length of the extrudate to be severed and formed. The method and apparatus are well-suited for forming plastic articles having an elongated shape with rounded ends.
