  • Patent number: 10699312
Abstract: A computer implemented method for creating a page including content includes the steps of inserting, with a computing device, one or more placeholders in the page, requesting, with a computing device, parameters, receiving, with a computing device, meta data in response to the step of requesting parameters, creating, with a computing device, frames in the page based on the meta data at positions corresponding to the placeholders, requesting, with a computing device, content, receiving, with a computing device, content in response to the request for content, and placing the content in the frames for display on a display device.

  • Patent number: 10003837
Abstract: Various arrangements for using a television programming distribution network with integrated predictive data gathering for distributing content are presented. Using a television service provider network, television programming may be broadcast to bi-directional communication television receivers and addressable television receivers. Viewership information may be collected by a viewership analysis system from the bi-directional communication television receivers. A viewership target model may then be constructed using the viewership information received from the plurality of bi-directional communication television receivers and data from a subscriber database accessible by the viewership analysis system. A differentiator model may then be trained using the viewership target model. The differentiator model may be applied to the addressable television receivers. Content may then be addressed to some of the addressable television receivers based on applying the differentiator model.

  • Patent number: 9716971
Abstract: A method of inspecting equipment of a power system can involve identifying a geographical area including a presumed faulty piece of equipment with a central computer system of the power system; determining a contact (e.g., a person) at the geographical area; sending a request for inspecting local equipment in the geographical area to the person; taking a picture, by the person, of a piece of local equipment; transmitting the picture to the central computer system; and evaluating at the central computer system, whether the piece of local equipment in the picture is faulty or not.

  • Publication number: 20050132347
Abstract: The present invention provides a computer system comprising a plurality of computers, each capable of running a given software application, and a server. A transaction arrangement is operable between each computer and the server for activating and deactivating a license for the given software application selectively at each computer. In the preferred embodiment, each computer comprises an application store for storing a copy of the given software application, and a license store for storing details of the license including license rights. The server comprises a data store for storing a serial code for the given software application, a data store for storing an identification code for any computer where the license is activated, and data store containing details of the license rights allocated to each computer.
