  • Patent number: 12116630
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of determining telomere length using universal reference primers. The reference primer pairs efficiently and reproducibly amplify genomic DNA in any vertebrate species. Kits for determining the length of telomeres or others repetitive regions in a sample are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11976382
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to oligonucleotide biosensors that bind to a fluorophore through a reporter domain and to one or more target ligand(s) through one or more target domain(s), which is connected to the reporter domain through one or more linker domain(s). The binding of the target ligand to the target domain affects the fluorescence of the fluorophore when excited by the appropriate wavelength of energy, either by causing dimming or allosteric fluorescence. Methods of selecting biosensors and their use to detect target ligands are also described.

  • Publication number: 20220025428
Abstract: Compositions and methods for encoding and retrieving data into nucleic acid memory for storage. More specifically, data is encoded into spatial locations within a nucleic acid architecture, which allows the data to be retrieved using super resolution microscopy. The data is then interrogated for errors, the errors corrected, and the data is then decoded.

  • Publication number: 20050205332
Abstract: An occupant weight-based airbag suppression method utilizes adjustable time constant filtering and dynamic threshold adjustment to reliably determine and indicate airbag suppression status. The filter time constant is ordinarily set to a first value that provides relatively fast tracking of the raw occupant weight, but is set to a second value that provides relatively slow tracking of the raw occupant weight when both the raw and filtered occupant weights are within a specified band about the threshold value. The threshold value and band are dynamically adjusted after the suppression status is initially determined so as to effectively increase the separation between the filtered weight and the threshold.

  • Patent number: 4089090
Abstract: An arrangement for perforation a stripe of a ductile material such as plastics or a ductile metal such as aluminum or copper and for forming a lattice of the stripe comprises a preferably rotating cutting roll, which cooperates with a holding-up tool. The cutting roll has at least one axially aligned row of cutting plates. Each cutting plate has a cutting edge and a partly cylindrical part, which forms a part of the cylindrical mantle surface of the cutting roll. In cooperation with the holding-up tool the cutting edges of the cutting plates make a row of slots in the stripe, whereupon the walls of the slots are extended in the longitudinal direction of the stripe, while the partly cylindrical parts of the cutting plates hold other parts of the stripe against the holding-up tool so as to form a lattice without changing the width of the stripe.

  • Patent number: 4082217
Abstract: A centrifuge apparatus, primarily for use in the continuous or semi-continuous separation of blood, has a disposable separation unit which is orbited on a centrifuge rotor. The separation unit has a sealed jacket which is held against rotation during the orbiting and communicates with a stationary and nonrotatable liquid inlet and outlet connector on the rotor axis. A separation vessel rotatably mounted in the jacket communicates with liquid inlet and outlet passages in the jacket and is rotationally unbalanced to orient itself relative to the rotor during the orbiting of the jacket.
