Patent number: 8944943Abstract: A knob simulating device that can be affixed to a sporting good, such as a baseball bat. The knob simulating device encircles the shaft of the baseball bat and is made up of a plurality of components that mate together to surround and encase the entire periphery of the bat shaft. Each of the component parts has a hard exterior portion and a resilient interior portion for contacting and conforming to the circular outer surface of the baseball bat. The resilient interior portion is generally cylindrical and may have one or more deformable projections that retain the device along the circular outer surface of the baseball bat. There may be a plurality of deformable projections in the form of annular rings that can be angled so as to securely retain the knob simulating device in the desired location along the shaft of the baseball bat.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2013Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Inventor: Eric Heiberg

Patent number: 7661178Abstract: A fastener adapter and fastener strap combination includes a first strap member having first and second ends, an outer surface and an inner surface with hook material; and a second strap member having first and second opposing surfaces of hook material. The second strap member is attached to the inner surface intermediately between the first and second ends of the first strap member. The first surface of the second member and a portion of the inner surface of the first member define a first all-hook opening. The second surface of the second member and a portion of the inner surface of the first member define a second all-hook surface. The combination also includes a continuous fastener strap having first and second end portions, the first end portion frictionally attached to the first all-hook opening and the second end portion frictionally attached to the second all-hook surface.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2008Date of Patent: February 16, 2010Assignee: EBI, LLCInventors: James Israel, Eric Heiberg

Patent number: 6722378Abstract: A retainer for supporting gun parts in an ultrasonic bath is provided with a plurality of supports that retain such gun parts in positions whereby cleaning of such parts by ultrasonic means is optimized. The retainer supports are specifically configured to maximize the removal of dirt and debris from gun parts, and certain supports are adjustable to accommodate a variety of gun makes and models. The retainer is also constructed to prevent direct contact between gun parts, which might otherwise result in unnecessary wearing at such contact locations.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2002Date of Patent: April 20, 2004Assignee: Coltene/Whaledent, Inc.Inventors: Eric Heiberg, Jerry Sullivan

Publication number: 20040001784Abstract: A support base for a front-loading sterilizer includes a retractable shelf for staging items to be loaded into the sterilizer, and for drying and cooling items that are removed from the sterilizer. The retractable shelf includes a holding element characterized by periodically-spaced lateral troughs and crests. Items to be dried may be positioned on the crests so that ambient air may flow below the items for drying and condensate may drain into the troughs. The drying element may be fixed to or removable from the holding element. The support base may optionally and integrally include chassis members of the sterilizer.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2002Publication date: January 1, 2004Inventors: Jerry Sullivan, Eric Heiberg, Chui Ho Pak, Gary Port
