Abstract: A system includes: a housing; a hot water tank arranged within the housing and configured to store a first volume of water; a cold water tank arranged within the housing and configured to store a second volume of water; an exterior heat exchanger arranged on the housing and defining a set of fluid channels extending vertically along an exterior wall of the housing; and an interior heat exchanger thermally coupled to an interior volume of a building. The system also includes a set of valves configured to: during daytime, route the first volume between the hot water tank and the exterior heat exchanger and route the second volume between the cold water tank and the interior heat exchanger; and, during nighttime, route the first volume between the hot water tank and the interior heat exchanger and route the second volume between the cold water tank and the exterior heat exchanger.

Abstract: A data migration and integration system is disclosed. In various embodiments, the system includes a memory configured to store a mapping from a source schema to a target schema; and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to migrate to a target schema an instance of source data organized according to the source schema, including by using a chase engine to perform an ordered sequence of steps comprising adding a bounded layer of new elements to a current canonical chase state associated with migrating the source data to the target schema; adding coincidences associated with one or more of the target schema data integrity constraints and a mapping from the source schema to the target schema; and merging equal elements based on the coincidences; and repeat the preceding ordered sequence of steps iteratively until an end condition is met.

Abstract: An extruded connecting profile for two panels having peripheral edges includes a first frame element having a front side and an opposite rear side, the front side being shaped for engaging a peripheral edge of a first panel of the two panels. A second frame element is also provided having a front side and an opposite rear side the front side being shaped for engaging a peripheral edge of a second panel of the two panels. An elastic structure extending between the first and second frame elements is co-extruded with the first and second frame elements and is comprised of a material having a higher elasticity than the material of the first and second frame elements.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a 3D array of circuit elements and control lines for coupling a remote control device to the circuit elements in the array. Each circuit element is configured to transform from one circuit state to another circuit state in response to a change in a control signal received from one of the control lines. The 3D array includes a region that behaves as a metamaterial in a selected frequency when the circuit elements of the region are in one set of circuit states and as a normal refractive medium in the selected frequency when the circuit elements of the region are another set of circuit states.
