Patent number: 10499552Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement including a carriage frame assembly and pull hitch towed by a tractor and forward and aft secondary frames supported by the carriage frame assembly. The forward and aft secondary frames mount gangs of disk blades for tilling the soil. The secondary frames establish a plane and the aft secondary frame is connected to the carriage frame assembly at a greater distance from the plane than the forward secondary frame so that the depth of penetration of the disk blades is uniform during field operation. The tillage implement has outboard wing sections pivotally connected to the secondary frames and annular shims are provided to establish the wing sections and secondary frames in common plane during field operation, the annular shim being rotatable about central axis to present a common surface to the implements irrespective of the orientation of the shims.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2018Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Michael G. Kovach, Eric J. Anderson, Rick L. Gerber

Patent number: 9999172Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement includes a main section including a hitch extending in a travel direction, a plurality of foldable wing sections coupled with the main section, a plurality of ground engaging tilling elements, a plurality of wheel assemblies and a control system. The tilling elements are coupled to the main section and wing sections. Each of the wheel assemblies include an actuator. The wheel assemblies include a first plurality of wheel assemblies associated with the main section and a second plurality of wheel assemblies associated with the plurality of wing sections. The actuators of the first plurality of wheel assemblies being independent of the actuators of the second plurality of wheel assemblies. Patent number: 9661797Abstract: A mechanical coupling arrangement for interconnecting a compression spring assembly and certain working tools such as the disks of an agricultural tillage implement includes a hinge having a pivot axis and first and second arms extending from the pivot axis. Linkage arrangements couple the first hinge arm to the spring assembly and the second hinge arm to the working tools. A shear pin extends between the hinge arms remote from the pivot axis for fixing the angular relationship between the arms so long as the spring compression remains less than a predetermined maximum. Shear pin failure allows one hinge arm to pivot relative to the other when the predetermined maximum tension is exceeded uncoupling the spring assembly from the tools.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2014Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Michael G. Kovach, Eric J. Anderson

Patent number: 9516801Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement including a carriage frame assembly and pull hitch towed by a tractor and secondary frames supported by the carriage frame assembly. The secondary frames support gangs of disk blades for tilling the soil in a travel direction. Bearing hanger assemblies support the gangs of disk blades below the secondary frames through a C shaped resilient element. Stop elements are mounted on the bearing hanger assemblies and to a cross bar to limit deflection of the C shaped elements by abutting some of the secondary frames.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2014Date of Patent: December 13, 2016Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Michael G. Patent number: 4313498Abstract: The invention discloses apparatus for supporting a submersible pump motor unit in a stilling tube. The unit is suspended from a rising main. The stabilizing means comprises a plurality of sets of self-acting locking devices each having a cam fast on a shaft pivotally mounted in a bracket which shaft also carries counterweights which bias the cams radially outwardly.Bearing plates are located on the stilling tube and the cams engage respective plates to lock the pump against lateral movement. Each set of devices consists of four devices disposed in a lateral plane equidistantly about the axis of the tube. The plurality of sets are spaced in the longitudinal direction of the pipe.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1979Date of Patent: February 2, 1982Assignee: Hayward Tyler LimitedInventor: Eric J. Anderson
