  • Publication number: 20220329128
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to electric motors having fluid cooling by fluid flow through a cooling jacket cavity. An electric motor may include a cylindrical housing wall, a stator mounted to an inner surface of the housing wall, a motor shaft mounted for rotation within the housing wall, and a cooling jacket wall concentric with and at least partially surrounding the housing wall. A housing wall outer surface and a jacket wall inner surface define a cooling jacket cavity through which cooling fluid flows to draw heat way from the electric motor. Heat slingers, axial or radial fans or the like mounted on one or two ends of the motor shaft extending from the housing wall may further assist in dissipating heat generated by the electric motor.

  • Patent number: 10935040
Abstract: A radial blade impeller for an industrial fan assembly may include a cylindrical impeller hub having a hub outer surface and a hub shaft bore, a plurality of impeller blade assemblies circumferentially spaced about the hub outer surface and extending outward from the hub outer surface. A first sprocket disposed on a first end of the impeller hub engages a lateral edge of each of the impeller blade assemblies and has a plurality of first sprocket teeth extending outward from a first sprocket outer edge. Each of the first sprocket teeth corresponds to one of the impeller blade assemblies and engages and is secured to the first lateral edge of the corresponding one of the impeller blade assemblies. A second sprocket disposed on a second end of the impeller hub has a similar configuration with second sprocket teeth aligning with and engaging opposite lateral edges of the impeller blade assemblies.

  • Patent number: 10605258
Abstract: A forward curved blade impeller for an industrial fan assembly includes an impeller hub assembly, an impeller baseplate mounted on the impeller hub assembly and having an annular shape, a first impeller ring having an annular shape, and an impeller blade deck having a plurality of first impeller blades extending between, circumferentially spaced about and secured to the impeller baseplate and the first impeller ring. A plurality of reinforcement bars extend between, are circumferentially spaced about and are secured to the impeller baseplate and the first impeller ring. Additional impeller blade decks and impeller rings may be stacked above the first impeller blade deck and first impeller ring, with the reinforcement bars extending from the impeller baseplate through intermediate impeller rings to a topmost one of the impeller rings.

  • Patent number: 10356943
Abstract: A fan mount assembly is disclosed for an industrial fan assembly that has a motor with a motor shaft, a fan shaft, a transmission operatively connecting the motor shaft to the fan shaft to drive the fan shaft, and an impeller mounted on the fan shaft. A top plate has top plate slots proximate top plate lateral edges, and first and second side plates have side plate tabs extending upward from side plate top edges. The first side plate tabs and the second side plate tabs are each inserted through the corresponding top plate slots until the side plate top edges engage the top plate. The top plate slots and the side plate tabs may be dimensioned for a relatively close fit so that the side plates are at approximately their proper alignment relative to the top plate when the side plate top edges engage the top plate.

  • Patent number: 10054130
Abstract: A rotary seal for a rotating shaft passing through a stationary structure is mounted on the stationary structure and has at least two seal ring fabricated from resilient material and a cavity ring disposed within a seal housing bore of a seal housing. The cavity ring is disposed between the seal rings, and a seal cover compression ring compresses the seal rings and cause the seal rings to engage the seal housing bore to create a seal ring outer seal there between and to engage the rotating shaft to create a seal ring inner seal there between while allowing the rotating shaft to rotate relative to the seal ring. The seal housing has a pressurized inlet passage and the cavity ring includes cavity ring inlet passages allowing pressurized air or fluid to be supplied to the seal housing bore to prevent gases from leaking through the rotary seal.
