Processing the approved control document includes causing an execution of at least one task on the approved control document. Execution of a such task includes updating of the database structure, and may be implemented by the agent that found the control document or by another agent called by the agent.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for acknowledging receipt of an article by an intended receiver are disclosed. A method may comprise: communicating a receiver identification to the intended receiver; providing a mechanism to request an actual receiver of the article to provide the receiver identification; in response to that the actual receiver provides the receiver identification, generating a digital signature based on a combination of the receiver identification and an identification of the article; and acknowledging the receipt of the article by the intended receiver based on the digital signature.

Abstract: Implementation of a client-server text messaging (CSTM) monitor installed on a computer system that is configured to monitor a client-server text messaging (CSTM) server for commands posted thereto, and a management program installed on the computer system which is responsive to the commands. The CSTM monitor is lightweight and allows multiple computer systems to monitor a CSTM server and execute posted commands. Managed computer systems are more efficient because the management program does not run continuously. The commands are text-based and, therefore, require very little network bandwidth between a management system and the managed computer system. The invention allows a centralized computer management system to monitor managed computer systems and implement corrective measures without overburdening the systems or network bandwidth.
