Patent number: 12150587Abstract: A conveyor system includes an upper and lower synchronized conveyors that transfer a food product, such as eggs, through a heating system to cook the food product. The lower conveyor includes a belt and the upper conveyor includes rings that are moveably held within frames. The upper conveyor includes a connection system for removably connecting the frames to drive belts. The rings and belt are brought together to define receptacles in which the food product is arranged during cooking. After cooking, the rings are lifted off of the belt, leaving the food product on the belt. A transfer roller transfers the cooked food product from the belt for further processing, such as freezing of the food product.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2021Date of Patent: November 26, 2024Assignee: Omar Associates, LLCInventors: Chad W. Billman, Eric J. Wise, Christopher J. Huss

Patent number: 10717604Abstract: A linear fixed shaft drive assembly for use in a self-stacking industrial/commercial-grade spiral/gyro oven or freezer that includes a fixed, non-rotatable shaft having a cylindrical mounting portion, a bearing cup supported by the mounting portion, and a hub and shaft base that includes a shaft portion and flange portion. The flange portion is configured to couple to a first side of a flange extending from the bearing cup. A sprocket is mounted to an opposite second side of the flange extending from the bearing cup. The sprocket includes teeth configured to engage with a ball chain assembly of the oven or freezer. The bearing cup includes at least two permanently lubricated bearings. Rotation of the shaft portion of the hub and shaft base causes the bearing cup and sprocket to rotate on the mounting portion of the fixed, non-rotatable shaft.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2018Date of Patent: July 21, 2020Assignee: Omar Associates, LLCInventors: Chad W. Patent number: 8635779Abstract: A method for servicing a coupling connecting two non-collinear shafts, which coupling includes a pair of sleeves each having a yoke provided at an end portion thereof, a knuckle provided between each yoke that includes a body having a plurality of openings, a plurality of bushings each positioned in one of the openings, and a plurality of separate pins threadingly engaged to the yokes for releasably connecting the yokes to the knuckle. The method includes loosening a pair of opposed pins on one of the yokes such that an end portion of each pin is spaced from the corresponding bushing, which disengages that yoke from the knuckle, separating the disengaged yoke from the coupling, removing a worn bushing, inserting a different bushing in the opening, positioning the yoke to reengage the knuckle and tightening the pins on the yoke until the end portion of each pin engages the corresponding bushing.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2013Date of Patent: January 28, 2014Assignee: Omar Associates, LLCInventors: Chad W.
