Patent number: 10579293Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for storing data and for calculating data characteristics. A concentric ring buffer has a succession of representative ring buffers, each divided into segments and reflecting an increasingly long unit of a base (e.g., a time, count, or geo base) and with a decreasing level of precision. The concentric ring buffer has a fixed total memory size based on the number of ring buffers and segments. Each segment of each ring buffer is populated in a first-in-first-out manner with a value calculated for the data characteristic for a particular length of base unit and with a particular precision. When a ring buffer is full and another value is calculated, the oldest value is transferred to a next ring buffer or deleted if there is none. Further, values can be collected from multiple concentric ring buffers and consolidated in a single concentric ring buffer.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2017Date of Patent: March 3, 2020Assignee: ACI Worldwide Corp.Inventors: Eric James Gieseke, Kenneth John Chenis

Publication number: 20170178139Abstract: A system comprises a memory that includes instructions, an interface, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the memory and interface. The interface is configured to receive transaction information for a plurality of transactions. The processor is configured to generate a graph database based on the transaction information, and determine, based on information associated with the nodes of the graph database, whether a particular node of the graph database is potentially fraudulent.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2015Publication date: June 22, 2017Applicant: ACI Worldwide Corp.Inventor: Eric James Gieseke

Publication number: 20140108939Abstract: An approach is provided for mapping relevant and up-to-date online content to content collections using a single programming tool. The collection management platform determines one or more content items from one or more content catalogs. The collection management platform causes, at least in part, a mapping of the one or more content items to one or more collection objects. The collection management platform causes, at least in part, a presentation of the one or more collection objects in one or more content stores, one or more content store management systems, or a combination thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2012Publication date: April 17, 2014Applicant: Nokia CorporationInventors: ANINDITA MAHAPATRA, Eric James Gieseke

Patent number: 8655894Abstract: An approach is provided for generating a searchable index including an associated object graph. Data objects of a database are converted into corresponding rows in a set of searchable columns. An object graph corresponding to each row of the searchable columns are determined. An index including the set of searchable columns and the corresponding object graphs are generated.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2010Date of Patent: February 18, 2014Assignee: Nokia CorporationInventor: Eric James Gieseke

Publication number: 20140032314Abstract: An approach for merchandizing online content collections at various layers of a hierarchy is disclosed. A content merchandizing platform determines at least one slot of at least one page associated with one or more content stores, wherein the at least one slot is for presenting one or more content items. The content merchandizing platform also causes, at least in part, an association of at least one collection of the one or more content items with the at least one slot. The content merchandizing platform further causes, at least in part, a selection of at least a portion of the at least one collection to present in the at least one slot.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2012Publication date: January 30, 2014Applicant: Nokia CorporationInventors: Eric James Gieseke, Anindita Mahapatra

Publication number: 20130080435Abstract: An approach is presented for managing content collections at various hierarchical layers. A content management platform causes a specification of one or more hierarchical layers for managing content associated with one or more content stores. The content management platform then determines at least one content collection associated with the one or more content stores. It then determines to organize the at least one content collection into one or more bins associated with respective ones of the one or more hierarchical layers.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2011Publication date: March 28, 2013Inventors: Eric James Gieseke, Anindita Mahapatra

Publication number: 20030074430Abstract: A provisioning server object model and method is detailed that manages configuration and tasking of devices, elements, or links of networks. The provisioning server object model and method utilizes an object oriented design and object cache that allows the provisioning server to generate configuration responses for network elements, command lists, network state, and import and export configuration information in an efficient manner. The provisioning server object model and method also allows for dynamic updates of configuration components by identifying stale configuration components and managing their dynamic updating in response to configuration change events that affect the underlying input files and information databases.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2001Publication date: April 17, 2003Inventors: Eric James Gieseke, Huimin Li

Publication number: 20030069956Abstract: An improved SNMP agent and configuration server apparatus and method is detailed that manages configuration and tasking of components, elements, and modules, of network elements, modular rack chassis's, and network systems. The improved SNMP agent and configuration server apparatus and method utilizes an object oriented approach to representing configuration information for managed modules and elements. This object oriented approach allows for ease of implementation, reduced errors, and faster generation for CLI command sets and MIB databases.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2001Publication date: April 10, 2003Inventors: Eric James Gieseke, Huimin Li

Publication number: 20030069948Abstract: An automated registration process for registering a new user and new high speed access device with an internet service provider is accomplished without requiring user input aside from choices of service provider, service level agreement, and the provision of basic user information. A mediation server communicates with a provisioning server to obtain necessary access device information without requiring a user to access or know such information.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2001Publication date: April 10, 2003Inventors: Donghai Ma, Ajit Nair, Craig Boyle, Eric James Gieseke, Jyotirmoy Sarkar, Tavit Ohanian
