Abstract: The device includes a tubular fitting (6) that is part of a bicycle frame and able to accommodate a saddle post (7), elements (19,20) for locking the saddle post (7) in rotation, and members (8) for holding the saddle post (7) in a longitudinal position that is determined relative to the tubular fitting (6). The holding members comprise a stop surface (7a) that is provided on the saddle post (7) and able to work with a stop (8) that is provided on the fitting (6) so as to delimit the insertion length of the saddle post (7) in the latter. The holding members also include at least one annular crosspiece (9, 10) that can be arranged between the stop surface and the stop so as to allow the adjustment of the insertion length.

Abstract: The frame includes at its rear portion two bases (12, 13) extending substantially horizontally rearwardly so as to define between them a space for the reception of a rear wheel, and two stays (14, 15) extending obliquely toward one respective end of the bases (12, 13) and being connected thereto at an acute angle by connection elements, a pair of recesses for a rear wheel axle being disposed substantially at the intersection of the stays (14, 15) with the bases (12, 13) . Each recess of the pair of recesses has a first notch with a semicircular bottom (23) provided at one flattened end of a base and a second notch with a semicircular bottom (24) provided at a flattened end of a stay and disposed facing the first notch (23) such that the semicircular bottoms will be aligned with each other.

Abstract: A device including a tubular coupling (6) forming part of a bicycle frame and suitable for holding a saddle post (7), locking means (19, 20) for rotationally locking the saddle post (7), and supporting means (8) for supporting the saddle post (7) in a predetermined longitudinal position relative to said tubular coupling (6). The supporting means comprise an abutment surface (7a) provided on said saddle post (7) and engageable with an abutment (8) on said coupling (6) so as to define the insertion length of the saddle post (7) therein. The supporting means further comprise at least one ring-shaped insert (9, 10) positionable between said abutment surface and said abutment to enable said insertion length to be adjusted.
