    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for foaming a hollow profile with metal foam are provided. The device comprises induction means, into which the hollow profile can be introduced, in which a foamable raw material is disposed, the hollow profile having an electrical interruption, which extends in its longitudinal direction of the hollow profile, and being in contact with the induction means at least at one place, so that, during the inductive foaming of the raw material, the hollow profile forms part of the induction means.
