    Abstract: A technique for treating atopic dermatitis is disclosed, comprising the steps of preparing a culture of R. mucosa and applying it to the affected skin to create a colony of R. mucosa in situ. The R. mucosa colony competes with S. aureus, a common exacerbator of atopic dermatitis, and is hypothesized to have direct action on atopic dermatitis, not mediated by S. aureus.
