  • Patent number: 11960980
Abstract: Systems and methods for computing a causal uplift in performance of an output action for one or more treatment actions in parallel are described herein. In an embodiment, a server computer receives interaction data for a particular period of time which identifies a plurality of users and a plurality of actions that were performed by each user of the plurality of users through a particular graphical user interface during the particular period of time. The server computer uses the interaction data to generate a feature matrix of actions for each user, and a set of confounding variables included to minimize spurious correlations. The feature matrix is then used to train a machine learning system, using data identifying a user's performance or non-performance of each action as inputs and data identifying performance or non-performance of a target output action as the output.

  • Patent number: 11925261
Abstract: A molded plastic spacer for securing a drawer slide to a cabinet panel. The plastic spacer may have one or more lugs extending orthogonally from a cabinet panel contact face and configured to interface with corresponding recesses in the cabinet panel. The one or more lugs may further include a tapered central bore capable of receiving a pin. Driving the pin through the bore causes the lug to expand such that a ribbed exterior surface of the lug engages with the cabinet panel and secures the plastic spacer in place. Each of the one or more lugs having space above the respective pin for robotically driving the pin.

  • Publication number: 20180144366
Abstract: The current invention provides a way for Internet users to determine what content of interest to them is available behind multiple paywalls without specifically subscribing to the paywall websites. It allows these users to maintain a single account with a search engine content provider to make payments for viewing selected items behind the paywalls. It allows search engines to establish relationships with paywall websites to search their content, allows the search engines to establish relationships with Internet users to provide them with paywall restricted content, allows the search engines to present search results from behind paywalls, allows the search engines to present the restricted content to their users and to split revenue with the content providers. The content providers are able to monetize their content without establishing relationships with individual Internet users.

  • Patent number: 9833233
Abstract: A suturing device is disclosed. The suturing device includes an end effector assembly disposed on a distal end of the suturing device. The end effector assembly includes at least one guide tube housing at least one elongated member, a guide rack, and an anchor configured for disposal in a tubular tissue circumferentially offset from the guide rack. The anchor includes at least one guide tube attached to a suture having a first end and a second end. The at least one elongated member is deployed to puncture tubular tissue and mate with the at least one aperture of the anchor such that extraction of the at least one elongated member simultaneously draws out the suture through the punctured tubular tissue.

  • Patent number: 9628562
Abstract: Systems and methods automatically detect missing data and attempt to collect the missing data. The missing data may be related to a data reading or may be related to an event. The missing data is detected by comparing a communication received from an endpoint with previously received communications from the endpoint. The communication technology used by the endpoint may be considered in determining how to detect missing data and how to request the missing data from the endpoint. A single headend system may communicate with endpoints that use different communication technologies by adjusting the speed, batch size and the retry process used.

  • Publication number: 20050201091
Abstract: The present invention is a flexible surface lighting system with replaceable LED module. In particular, the present invention is directed to a system with a set of soft flanges and a more rigid base with a channel for electrical leads and lighting. A preferred embodiment has a base extrusion of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) of 89-98 Duro on the Shore OO scale with a channel. The base is connected, on opposite sides of the channel, to a first flange extrusion and a second flange extrusion of PVC with a hardness of preferably of 90 Duro. Electrical leads are placed in the channel. A lens is inserted into the channel over the leads. A replaceable LED module having a circuit board secured to a module base is attached to the leads. The circuit board preferably has a gasket, an LED and two contact teeth that make electrical contact with the leads.

  • Publication number: 20050201068
Abstract: The present invention is an improved replaceable LED module. In particular, the present invention is directed to an environmentally resistant LED module for mounting on at least a pair of electrical leads with a non-conductive sheath surrounding conductive wire. A replaceable LED module preferably comprises a circuit board removably secured to a base by a set of snap tabs on the base. The base has two open ends and contains two electrical leads that traverse the base through the open ends. A protective gasket preferably covers the circuit board. The circuit board is preferably coated in acrylic conformal coating. The preferred circuit board has an LED and two contact teeth. Each contact tooth pierces the protective gasket and the non-conductive sheath of an opposing stranded electrical lead and makes electrical contact with the conductive wire. Thus, power is supplied to the LED from the leads while maintaining the protective gasket and sheath.

  • Publication number: 20050002190
Abstract: The present invention is a soft light fixture. In particular, it is an LED soft light fixture. The preferred embodiment of the soft light fixture has a plurality of light emitting diodes mounted on a perimeter ring aimed to emit light into a light-mixing chamber. The perimeter ring supports a light deflection cap with a lens, preferably translucent. The ring, deflection cap and lens define the light mixing chamber which blends light from the plurality of light emitting diodes into a single light source.
