  • Patent number: 12131693
Abstract: An electronic device includes at least one optically transparent substrate defining an optical transmission area and a display having an array of pixel structures each including a plurality of electroluminescent elements selectively operable to project light through the optical transmission area. An optically pellucid electrical conductor is coupled to the optically transparent substrate at a first subarea of the optical transmission area. One or more processors cause a first set of pixel structures to project light through the first subarea with a first luminous intensity and a second set of pixel structures to project other light through a second subarea of the optical transmission area that is complemental to the first subarea with a second luminous intensity that is different from the first luminous intensity.

  • Patent number: 11715327
Abstract: An electronic device includes a first display on a major surface, a second display positioned on another major surface, and optionally at least one imager collocated with the second display. One or more processors identify a predefined event occurring and select whether to present content on the first display or the second display. The one or more processors can cause an imager to capture at least one image. When image matches a first predefined criterion, the one or more processors cause a presentation of content to occur on the first display. When the image matches a second predefined criterion, the one or more processors cause the presentation of the content to occur on the second display. The one or more processors can also compare sizes of the first touch sensitive display portion and the second touch sensitive display portion to select between the first display and the second display.

  • Patent number: 11304152
Abstract: The present application provides a method and a wireless communication device, which includes detecting one or more operating conditions of the wireless communication device, and determining a normalized energy relative to a monitored energy accumulation over time for each of one or more detected device operating conditions. An amount of already accumulated normalized energy for the detected device operating conditions is compared over an immediately prior window of time. An amount of allowed power to be used during a future sub-period of an upcoming window of time is computed, so as not to exceed an associated limit relative to the overall amount of allowed monitored energy accumulation in each current and upcoming window of time.

  • Patent number: 11228987
Abstract: The present application provides a method and a wireless communication device, which includes selecting a total transmitter power target. A target transmitter power is identified for each of the transmitters operating separately at which each individual transmitter would meet a transmitted radio frequency signal exposure limit relative to a user of the wireless communication device. A fixed ratio is determined for each of the transmitters to be used with the total transmitter power target, based on the determined fixed ratio of the target transmitter power identified for each of the transmitters to the total transmitter power target.

  • Publication number: 20200404424
Abstract: A method in an electronic device includes receiving, with an audio input device, audio input from a source. The method estimates, with one or more processors operable with the audio input device, a sound pressure level of the audio input when emanating from the source. The method adjusts, with the one or more processors, an audio output sound pressure level of an audio output device to mimic the sound pressure level of the audio input when emanating from the source, and outputs audio output at the audio output sound pressure level in response to receiving the audio input from the source.

  • Patent number: 10713002
Abstract: A method in an electronic device includes receiving, with an audio input device, an audio input from one or more sources. The method includes determining, with one or more sensors operable with one or more processors, whether the audio input was received from a single source or a plurality of sources. Where the audio input is received from the single source, the method includes adjusting, with one or more processors, an audio output sound pressure level of an audio output device to a first audio output sound pressure level. Where the audio input is received from the plurality of sources, the method include adjusting, with the one or more processors, the audio output sound pressure level of the audio output device to a second audio output sound pressure level that is less than the first audio output sound pressure level.
