  • Patent number: 9666978
Abstract: An electronics module includes a cable clamp chassis projecting outward from a wall of the module. The cable clamp chassis includes first and second cable mounting locations adapted to receive respective first and second cables. The cable mounting locations each include an axially extending recess located adjacent a first reference plane. Each of the cable mounting locations includes an inner surface with an innermost point that lies tangent to a second reference plane that is parallel to and offset from the first reference plane such that the first and second cables are arranged in a zero stack configuration. A clamp is secured to the cable clamp chassis and adapted to secure the first and second associated cables in the first and second cable receiving locations.

  • Patent number: 7853155
Abstract: A method for operating an optical transmitter for transmission of an optical signal over a dispersive fiber optic media to a remote receiver. The method includes the steps of providing a respective bias level of a first RF signal and a second RF signal input to an optical modulator that modulates the optical signal; determining an output level of the optical modulator in response to the provided bias levels and adjusting a bias level of at least one of the first and second RF input signals based upon the determined output level and an expected output level at a configuration set point for the provided respective bias levels.

  • Patent number: 7510223
Abstract: A latch device is provided for an electrical enclosure. The latch device includes a latch plate which is movable between extended and retracted positions. In the extended position, the latch plate allows a door to be secured over an opening in the enclosure. In the retracted position, the latch plate permits unencumbered access to components and mounting structures within the enclosure, such as for removal of a mounting unit. The latching mechanism may bias the enclosure door to a closed position, while permitting movement of the door, without unlatching of the mechanism, during fault conditions within the enclosure, such as to permit the escape of hot gasses.

  • Patent number: 7417848
Abstract: A reduced form factor component support is provided for motor control centers and similar packaged electrical systems. The reduced form factor component support may be used with smaller components, such as small motor starters, motor drives, and so forth. Electrical connections with standard bus bars in the enclosure are made through special connectors mounted on subplates in the rear of the enclosure, or by an invertible stab housing that can allow the reduced form factor component support to share conventional slots in a bus cover, thereby providing access to the supply power in the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 6136237
Abstract: A method for fabricating a fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composite (FRCMC) part includes the steps of forming a blank from FRCMC material such that the blank has a dimension approximating a desired finished dimension for the part measuring the dimension of the blank in an unloaded condition, applying a load to the blank and then removing the load so as to cause permanent strain of the blank, measuring the dimension of the blank after the load has been applied and then removed, and comparing the measured dimension after loading to the previously measured dimension. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, if the dimension after loading differs from the dimension previously measured, the loading and measuring steps are repeated. After each loading cycle, the blank is measured and the measured dimension is compared to that previously measured after the prior loading cycle.
