  • Patent number: 8302850
Abstract: A method is disclosed with which a terminal (3) can retrieve information associated to an EPC code from an EPC network (4, 5, 6, 7). The EPC code is virtual, is generated independently of RFID tags and is stored permanently and is not—or not permanently—associated to an RFID tag. A terminal (3) sends a message with the EPC code over a telecommunication network (4) to an object name server (6), the server (6) replies with the address of the desired PML page and the terminal (3) access the content of said PML page. • Publication number: 20120117582
Abstract: A method for data communication is provided and may include transmitting picture objects and/or video objects from a media center for display on a communications terminal. The media center may receive, from an eye tracker at the communications terminal, direction of view information (DoV) of at least one eye of a user of the terminal with respect to the displayed objects. The DoV may be determined by detecting a position of a pupil based on light reflected off of the pupil. Subsequent picture objects and/or video objects may be transmitted for display by the communications terminal based on user interests determined from the received DoV information. The DoV information may be determined using: a beam splitter, a lens, and a position sensing diode which receives light from the lens which has been received from the beam splitter, wherein the position sensing diode outputs a signal to the eye tracker.

  • Publication number: 20120098647
Abstract: A method and systems for inputting user instructions to central controller of a service provider. The user instruction is inputted based on transmission of RFID identification data of a RFID transponder to the central controller. The RFID identification data of a RFID transponder is transmitted to a RFID transceiver, having a RFID transceiver identification, over an RFID interface. The RFID identification data and the RFID transceiver identification are then forwarded to the central controller of the service provider over a network connection between the RFID transceiver and the central controller, causing the central controller to select specific user instruction based on the RFID identification data and the RFID transceiver identification. The selected specific user instruction then causes the central controller to apply corresponding adjustment to operations that relate to the one or more electronic devices corresponding to the user of the RFID transponder.

  • Patent number: 8099748
Abstract: A system and a suitable method for distribution of picture objects which are stored with assigned picture object information in a picture object database. In a media center of the system, user identification data are received which are transmitted to the media center by communications terminals via a communications network. In the media center user interests profiles are defined which, assigned to the received user identification data, are stored in a user interests database. On the basis of the correlation of particular user interests profiles with picture object information, picture objects are selected and transmitted via the communications network to the respective communications terminal from which the received user identification data were transmitted. The current direction of view of a user of the communications terminal is determined and transmitted to the media center, where picture objects which are viewed by the user are identified based thereon.

  • Patent number: 8089358
Abstract: A method, a system, and a device for inputting user instructions of a user-controllable telecommunication device. An RFID transponder is introduced into a sphere of scope of an RFID transceiver and the RFID identification data of the RFID transponder is transmitted to the RFID transceiver. The RFID identification data and/or RFID transceiver identification are transmitted to a collection module by the RFID transceiver. An assigned user instruction is selected by the collection module and by tables containing RFID identification data and tables containing RFID transceiver identifications accessible by the collection module and controlling the user-controllable telecommunication device by the collection module in accordance with the selected user instruction.

  • Patent number: 8050448
Abstract: A method is disclosed for gaining access to an object and/or to a service of an object or service provider. A biometric reference parameter of at least one user is recorded in a personal mobile station. The user orders an object or service from a remote server by means of his personal mobile station. An actual biometric parameter is recorded by a biometric sensor of the object or service provider and the recorded actual biometric parameter is compared to the reference parameter. On a successful comparison, access to the object or service is permitted. The invention further relates to a system with the components mentioned.

  • Patent number: 7750810
Abstract: A method system, and device for identification by an identification tag in which a request to a control module of the identification tag is transmitted from an interrogation device via a contactless interface of the identification tag, so that the control module accesses identification data stored in a memory module assigned to the identification tag. The identification data are transmitted via the contactless interface. Body-specific identification data of the wearer are captured and transmitted to a verification module by a measuring device assigned to the identification tag, or a sensor, and/or an analysis device. The transmitted body-specific identification data is compared with the identification data stored in the memory module by the verification module, to confirm the identity of the wearer. The identification tag is injected and/or implanted under the skin of the wearer. The identification tag can be in particular an RFID and/or NFC tag.
