    Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting a component of an aerial power line. A frame has a support member extending along a support member axis. The support member is mountable about the power line in proximity to the component. The support member is rotatable about the line axis upon being mounted about the power line. A stabilizing member is mountable to a stabilizing structure separate from the power line. The stabilizing member is mountable to the support member to rotate the support member about the line axis. A source of electromagnetic imaging energy is mounted to the support member and has an emitter to face the component. A detector is mounted to the support member at a distance from the source to position the component between the source and the detector. The source and/or the detector is displaceable along the support member axis to vary the distance separating the detector and source.

The tool in the first position is vertically spaced from the component. The tool in the second position is engaged with the component. A displacement assembly is mounted to at least one of the body and the tool and includes at least one displacement member to displace the body and the tool along the conductor.

    Abstract: A standardized hot-pluggable transceiving unit implementing bandwidth optimization functionalities. The transceiving unit comprises a first connector receiving a signal comprising a source video payload. The transceiving unit comprises a processing unit performing a scaling of the source video payload. The scaling consists in generating a scaled video payload by applying a scaling ratio to the source video payload. The transceiving unit comprises a second connector outputting an IP flow transporting the scaled video payload. In an alternative bandwidth optimization implementation, the first connector receives a plurality of source IP flows each transporting a source video payload. The processing unit selects one among the plurality of source IP flows, and generates outbound IP packets of an outbound IP flow based on stored characteristics of the outbound IP flow. The outbound IP packets transporting the source video payload of the selected source IP flow are outputted by the second connector.

    Abstract: A cutting head with chip collection for cutting a tubular object. The cutting head comprises a frame and gripping, cutting, advancing and sealing units. The gripping unit is used to grip the object and secure its position with respect to the frame. The cutting unit has a motor driving a blade for cutting the tubular object. The advancing unit is used to guide the cutting unit in order to vary a cutting depth of the blade through a cutting area defined by an opening of the frame. The sealing unit has members extending around the cutting area and forming a chamber to contain the chips produced by the blade during a cutting. A suction conduit communicating with the chamber allows drawing the chips and conveying them toward a chip collecting outlet.

    Abstract: A bracelet for moving sensors along a straight or elbow pipe. The bracelet has a number of side-by-side positionable supports for removably holding the sensors respectively. A flexible attachment is provided for holding the supports in a pliant side-by-side series arrangement. The attachment has opposite ends extending beyond the supports at opposite ends of the series arrangement. The bracelet further has a frame having an inner circular opened surface for installation around the pipe, and a longitudinal circular side receiving surface along which the series arrangement of the supports is mounted. The side receiving surface is provided with fastening members projecting at both ends of the series arrangement of the supports. The ends of the attachment is supported by the fastening members.
