  • Patent number: 11036768
Abstract: The scalable high-level fusion of structured and unstructured data includes ingesting and processing unstructured data to produce a statistical model stored as extracted entities then mapped to a collection of resource description framework (RDF) triples, and applying a semantic analysis to a set of structured data to produce a logical model stored as a collection of triples. Reasoners are applied to both models generating an extended knowledge graph of both base and inferred knowledge that is decomposed into a wide table database, with each row storing a corresponding triple, and a reasoner converting the RDF triples into associated triples by adding a new column to the database in response to detecting a new predicate for a subject already present in one of the rows of the database so that the new predicate is stored in the new column in a new row created for the subject already present.

  • Publication number: 20200117737
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide for a method, system and computer program product for fast heterogeneous multi-data source search and analytics. In an embodiment of the invention, a method includes receiving a specification of multiple different data sources in a search and analytics engine, establishing communicative links between the engine and the data sources, and identifying a data source type and corresponding data fields storing respective data for each data source. The method further includes specifying a multi-hop graph traversal query implicating data across the different data sources, decomposing the query into constituent components and mapping each of the constituent components to each of the data sources based upon the corresponding data fields. The method even further includes formulating a specific query for each of the data sources, transmitting each query to each data source and populating in a knowledge graph each result set received for each query.

  • Patent number: 10612663
Abstract: There is described a multi-headed camera comprising a camera base, multiple camera heads coupled to the camera base, each camera head comprising a camera lens defining an observation angle, each camera head being configured to pivot such that the observation angle may vary between a minimum observation angle and a maximum observation angle, and a protective shield attached to the camera base, extending over the camera heads and shaped such that for each camera head a distance between the shield and the camera head varies as a function of the observation angle. Attached to each camera head is a resiliently deformable and flared gasket positioned around the camera lens and extending toward the shield. The gasket is configured such that, for any observation angle between the minimum and maximum observation angles, the gasket contacts the shield about a closed light seal path for preventing light from passing between the shield and the gasket, and reaching the camera lens.

  • Patent number: 10156071
Abstract: An adaptor for installing a camera or lighting fixture includes a housing. The housing includes a wall that define a slot that extends vertically between top and bottom ends of the slot. A spring steel strip is adapted to be received in the slot. The spring steel strip includes first and second sections separated by a sharp bend. A distal end of the first section is adapted to be brought into a first position in the slot. A distal end of the second section has a catch clip thereon adapted to be brought into a second position in the slot which is higher than the first position. The catch clip includes at least two resilient fingers adapted to permit the catch clip to be fitted into the slot when the two resilient fingers are laterally compressed towards each other, and then keep the distal end of the second section connected to the housing once the fingers are released.

  • Publication number: 20180101960
Abstract: A combination video surveillance system and physical deterrent device is disclosed. At least one camera module of the video surveillance system defines a first field of view and is operable to generate image data corresponding to the first field of view. A video analytics module is configured to detect a foreground visual object falling within the first field of view, classify the visual object, and determine an appearance of the visual object. A positioning module is configured to determine a physical location of the visual object. A deterrence device controller is configured to receive the determined physical location of the visual object, to control a deterrence device to be aimed at the physical location of the visual object, and to control the deterrence device to selectively emit the physical effect.

  • Patent number: 5323313
Abstract: This invention is a novel document preparation system in which a user is capable of viewing various permutations of a predefined portion of text. With this invention the display of variations in text is performed automatically. This provides a technique by which the developer can more quickly audit the results of his work and on the user's side it permits the user to rapidly see a wide variety of different transactions which is of enormous use to a young associate learning a particular practice area. In one embodiment, the user is provided with a subset of the total number of permutations of a particular portion of text. Various techniques are used to provide only "meaningful" variations of the text, thereby avoiding the need for the user to view what might be an extremely large number of permutations, many of which are of no real import based upon the task at hand.
