  • Publication number: 20180079557
Abstract: A vented polymer bag may keep an ideal environment for produce preservation. Closable vents respond to air pressure inside the bag and in particular vent the accumulation of ethylene emitted by the produce. A fibrous liner may also be added to maintain a desired level of humidity. Placing a wet liner increases humidity while a dry liner removes moisture from the environment inside the bag.

  • Patent number: 9559038
Abstract: A package for a semiconductor device or circuit comprises a semiconductor switch module having a metallic base on an exterior side and metallic pads. A metallic enclosure is arranged for receiving the semiconductor switch module. The metallic enclosure has a recess of a size and shape for receiving the semiconductor switch module. The metallic enclosure has a set of dielectric regions with embedded or pass-through electrical terminals that are electrically insulated or isolated from the metallic enclosure. The electrical terminals are electrically connected to the metallic pads. A metallic bridging connection fills and hydraulically seals what would otherwise be a perimeter gap between the metallic base and the metallic enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20120271566
    Abstract: A method of determining the fatigue life of a structure includes the steps of: associating a mathematical equation for total strain amplitude with the structure: ?? 2 = ? f ? E ? ( 2 ? N f ) b + ? f ? ? ( 2 ? N f ) c , where: ??/2=strain amplitude, ?f?=fatigue strength coefficient associated with a material of the structure, b=fatigue strength exponent of the material, E=cyclic modulus of elasticity of the material, 2Nf=number of cycles, ?f?=fatigue ductility coefficient of the material, and c=fatigue ductility exponent of the material; reducing the fatigue strength exponent (b) such that an elastic portion of a total strain amplitude curve associated with the equation has a reduced slope to account for variable amplitude loading for the structure; generating a total strain amplitude curve, based upon the mathematical equation: ?? 2 = ? f ? E ? ( 2 ? N f ) b reduced + ? f ? ? ( 2 ? N f ) c , where (breduced) is now
