The composition comprises a plasma fraction separated from blood plasma and/or in combination with a pharmaceutical carrier. In a preferred method, the plasma fraction is separated from the blood plasma by mixing with from 3% to 10% by weight of the plasma fraction of silica and thereafter centrifuging to allow the plasma fraction to be precipitated out in conjunction with the silica.
